    Back From Sensation Cruise

My family and I took the 3 day cruise to Nassau Aug 7-10.  I had read mixed reviews about this cruise and our family had never been on a cruise so I was a little nervous.  All of that was put to ease when we stepped on the boat.  Yes, the boat is very "purple" and could use an update, but the entire experience was incredible.  The staff was amazing...they went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of.  Our room steward was constantly making sure everything in our room tidy.  The food in the formal dining room was excellent as were our two waiters.  The buffet type food that was in the Seaview lounge was good/ok and there was plenty of it.  There was plenty to do for everyone including my two teenage girls.  We really had a wonderful time and it was a great experience for all of us.  I will post pictures in a few days (once we return from Florida tomorrow evening) on myspace at www.myspace.com/torrihoward if you want to check them out.  This is a great starter cruise!  We are hooked and will be cruising again

Sweet! Thanks for posting this! I'm on this cruise next week, so it was really great to read such a good review!

Yes, the boat is very "purple"

Yeah... I've heard the 'purple people eater' is something you can't escape (unless you happen to be vision-impaired)

Just kinda comes up and bites hard, doesn't it? Cool

Hey Torri...... You are so right to say 'this is a great starter cruise', this time last year was my first cruise and it was on the Sensation.  I have been 'hooked' as well.  Now start thinking about your next cruise, only choose one with more than 3 days.  The last cruise I took was 7 days, what a difference.  I look forward to viewing your photos.  Thanks for Sharing!

Thanks for the pics.  My wife and I are going on 10/16.  It looks like from your stateroom pics that you stayed in a Penthouse suite.  Did you enjoy it?  Do you have any more pics of the room. We are staying in one and wondered how it was.  I read somewhere that the suites have hot food on their room service menus.  Anything to this?

     Thanks,

    Re: Back From Sensation Cruise

I don't have any additional pictures except for the few I posted on myspace.  We did not order room service, but I believe there was hot food on the menu when we looked at it.

We booked the suite because we got a really good deal thru Alaska Airlines and we also had our 2 teenagers with us.  Was it anything special??? No - except it was comfortable for the 4 of us.  Would I pay the money to book it again??? Probobly not, unless we bring the teenagers again, but I will definately make sure we have a balcony room on our next cruise because I really enjoyed being able to go outside on the balcony, although being on a 3 day cruise I did not get to enjoy it as much as I probobly would have on a 7 day cruise (more down time on a longer cruise I would think).

Enjoy your cruise!!!  We had such a great time.  I can't wait to cruise again!
