Anyone every cruise on New Years?

Just wondering what Carnival does for New Year's? We will be on the Splendor Dec 27th cruise and will be on the ship for New Year's.

We did a couple of years ago out of san Diego on an 8 night cruise. Most people dressed up on New's Years, not required. They did provide noise makers and hats in the dining room that everyone wore the rest of the night while partying it up. They did have the coutdown until midnight on the lido deck and had passed out drinks.

Hello, I spent the last New Years Eve aboard the ms Victory and I had a ball. The ship is decorated for the holidays and has a very festive spirit about it. Party favors were distributed at dinner, as midnight approached the deck was packed tight with cruisers ready to welcome in the new year on the sea. The ball dropped at midnight and the party continued. It was awesome and I plan to repeat it again in 2010. This year I will eat Turkey and celebrate my birthday at sea aboard the ms Splendor (my first) and I am so looking forward to it! Karen

I was on Carnival Legend last year for New Years. It was amazing! Huge deckparty and everyone was dressed so nicely! It was magnificent!
