Hi all!  My husband and I are taking this cruise!  It is his first cruise and my first in almost 10 years!  My husband is 30 and I'm 28.  I am looking so forward to this trip!  What floor are you staying on?  We are staying in theUpper deck.

We're on the main deck, but we're probably going to head in early to see if we can upgrade. I'm not sure of the area in terms of where the rooms are positioned. Any input?

Did you pick your room?  I chose mine off the deck map when I was booking.  You can see what room# you have then go to Funships then choose Elation then click deckplans.  I was told to choose a room towards the center of the ship rather than towards the front or back because its the most steady.

I wonder if you can upgrade now?  Did you try to call or find it online?  I came across it once, where it would let me upgrade, but I cant remember how.

I was just trying to find where you upgrade.  I havent found it yet but did find some important info in the FAQ's about upgrading.  It said they cannot grant upgrade requests on the day of sailing.  So if you are interested in upgrading, I would definitely try and do it soon.

I've heard from a couple people that although their regulations say that they "sail full", that is not always necessarily true. And if you get there earlier you may be able to upgrade for free if they aren't sold out. Also, when we purchased our tickets there was a statement on the website that said the tickets we purchased could be used for free upgrade if it is available at time of sail. So we'll see! That would be nice, although we already have an ocean view room which is decent.

Well that's good about that statement that said about the free upgrade. Good luck!

Hey one question for you...  I am stressing about the luggage issue.  When we travel, we have one large suitcase that we take.  It seems to fit the measurement restrictions, but what is up with the 50 pound limit?  I think that suitcase weighs a lot even when it's empty.

I dont know what to do.

Well I personally don't know how that situation would be handled on the ship, but I've traveled internationally enough with luggage that's over the weight minimum, and the worst that'll happen is paying extra. I'm sure they won't reject the suitcase for weighing more, maybe just charge you.

Also, the rules say that each guest can have two suitcases, weighing no more than 50 pounds each, so you may just be better off using two smaller suitcases. I might do that, as well as a carry on. A good trick is also sticking the suitcases on a bathroom scale, that way you'll know what you're in for.

Has anyone had issues before with bringing alcohol?

There is a whole section about bringing your own alcohol.  It looks like there are charges and such in order to bring alcohol on board.

I will have to try the bathroom scale thing.  All we have is one large suitcase, a small one, and two duffle bags that came with the luggage set.  We usually take the large suitcase and the larger duffle bag and that seems perfect.  It's just hard though because for a cruise and this being our longest trip, we seem to need to take more.  I dont know though.
