This is a new excursion, anyone do this with Carnival or on your own?

Hey Cruisefreak!  I haven't done this excursion but I vacationed in Jamaica and did Dunns River Falls.  It's great.  Make sure you wear your water shoes or some old sneakers--Don't wear sandals!  I did many excursions when I vacationed in Jamaica so if you have any questions about future excursions there, let me know!

We did this excursion thru Carnival.  The Bobsled portion is a blast. My grandson ran the bobsled 5 times, my wife four times. The Bobsled is located at Mystic Mountian. You travel up the mountain and over the canopy in a 4-person ski lift. At the top of the mountain is a wonderful restaurant with an infinity pool and of course the bobsled run. It's a self speed contolled bobsled running on a track like a roller coaster. There is also a "Zip Line" ride available. We had such a great time at Mystic Mountain that we almost missed going to Dunn's River Falls. We had less than an hour before reboarding our ship, the Carnival Triumph but we did climb the Falls.

I think our family is goingto do the bobsled  with the zip line.  We are for sure doing a zip line tour, and when we saw this one with the bobsled, it sounds like a blast.

Hi! I am booked on a cruise for March 8 2009 and Jamaica is one of the stops. I definetly wanted to do the Dunns River Falls but not sure what would be best to pair with it. The bobsled seems like fun but since so new I haven't been able to find many reviews.

 I read about how some people said there is a zip line at the top of the mountain? I read about the infinte pool and lifts but nothing about a zip line. Where is that information? What is it like? Anyway let me know. This seems like such a fun excursion!

The Zip line is an extra charge when you buy the excursion for Bobsled Jamaica and Dunns River Falls. I did not do the Zip line but it's pretty much the same as most - into a harness and zip across the top of the trees and land on a platform. The staff at Mystic Mountain is very courteous and well trained in customer service and safety. I would suggest combining the Falls with the Bobsled. Give yourself at a minimum of a couple of hours at the Falls.

We had so much fun at Mystic Mountain - Bobsled, Restaurant and Pool - that we "short changed' ourselves at the Falls.
