    Christmas On Liberty?

My husband and I decided no more crazy Christmases, with tons of money spent on food, shopping and all the material things. So we are taking the kids on a cruise for family time. A Christmas morning we can hang with the girls, not have to cook or clean and they can eat all dayBig Smile

We have 5 daughters 3, 7, 9, 11, and 16. It would be great if we could chat with other families beforehand so the kids might have some friends ahead of time. They are pretty nervous about the cruise, they have never been on one before, so having friends might ease their fears a bit.

I had the same thoughts about Christmas and will be traveling with my three daughters, 15, 17, and 19. We have cruised together several times before and the girls love it. Don't plan on spending much time on the ship with your daughters - they keep them very busy!

    Re: Christmas On Liberty?

My wife has also grown tired of trying to find the perfect Christmas gifts for our three boys (13,21,23) and possible soon to be daughter in law (24).  So we to have begun a new tradtion of a Christmas Trip.  We have just completed our trip planning meeeting and have decided upon the Liberty sailing on Dec. 19th 2009 (Western Caribbean).  We have sailed on the Legend (11-16-06)(no kids) and will be sailing Victory (11-16-08)(no kids) and have nothing but wonderful compliments about Carnival Cruise Lines.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas Cruise.

    Hi there,

My husband and I are traveling on the Christmas cruise on the Liberty with  our 2 daughters 15, 16 and our son who is 13. So excited, what kind of stuff will keep them busy?  I won't be complaining if I don't see much of them.

    Cool

    Re: Christmas On Liberty?

We are also soooo excited. My husband and I usually cruise Royal, but with 7 of us Carnival is much cheaper! This will be the girls first cruise, they can't wait already.

We are from Just north of Toronto in Canada. We will be driving to Miami, we figured a road trip will be fun. We are leaving 3 days before, even though it is only a 24 hour drive. Gives us plenty of time to ge there and stop where we wish.

    Looking forward to meeting everyone:)

I'll be aboard with my 11 year old daughter.  It's our first cruise, so I'm not sure what to expect.  38 days away, I can't wait!

    Re: Christmas On Liberty?

We are not sure yet, when we will arrive. We are leaving on the 17th so we can take our time and depending on how often we have to stop with the girls. We might end up there early! We'll have to get eachother cells in case we arrive earlier and then we can meet!

Time is flying now....we'll be laying around the pool in no time!!

    Talk soon,

    Rhonda

    Re: Christmas On Liberty?

Hi! We're from Massachusetts, we'll be flying in the morning of the cruise.  My daughter is convinced she'll be bored, stuck with "little kids".  I told her it's seperated by age groups, so she should be fine...right?

It's just my daughter & I, so I'm a little nervous about everything.  Will I feel out of place being alone while she's at Camp Carnival?  How formal is dining?  I'm sure I'll think of more, but I appreciate any tips!
