Hey Everyone!  Thanks so much for all of your helpful information, tips and encouragement.  I booked our trip today!!!  We will be setting sail on October 6th, 2008.  I'm so excited!  DH and I are really looking forward to this.  My kids on the other hand are jealous and already missing us.lol

I know what you mean.  My husband and I just booked our first trip for November 1st on the Liberty.  Neither one of us has ever been on a cruise before.  We are very excited!!!!!!

Since marrying my husband in 2006 my son has been on both of our cruises and we have our first "adult" trip booked for April 2009....can't wait! 

we went on our first adult cruise  this past Jan. with 2 other couples..  had soo much fun we are booked on another next Jan...this time with 4 other couples....then we felt bad so we are taking the kids next May !!!      HAPPY CRUISING !!

it's our first cruise also (in november.) we are taking our daughter and son-in-law and son and daughter-in-law. it their first one also!

 My husband and I are on the Liberty Nov 1st as well.  I booked this cruise as a birthday 

surprise for my husband.  So he will not know we are going on a cruise until we reach the port.  

So until then.....I must enjoy the thought of going on a cruse with other :-(

I hope I can keep this as a surprise.

Mike and I talk SEVERAL times a day about how excited we are about our Nov 16 Conquest cruise!  But, admittedly, a lot of it is based on the fact that we're getting married on the ship.

I admire you for keeping this a secret.  Who ever said women can't keep secrets????

that so sad i bet ur kids r mad i know i was when my parents left me for a cruise out of flordia i was so jealous but my dad won it and could only take 1 person and get this he chose my mom over me lol but oh well but the kids will get over it lol

A group of friends and I are going on the Sensation Sept 21. We are first time cruisers and we're very excited. we are all over packers and I wanted to know what are some neccessities that you must bring? My Fiances bring a suit does he need that, i read formal night is not that formal

He will definetly need a jacket for formal night. Some ships are more laid back, but a jacket is recommended for formal night for men. If you are a swimmer, you have to bring more than one swimsuit. Also, I pack plastic grocery bags to put wet stuff in when we are coming back from swimming at the beach while we are in port. Have fun!!! I wish I was going in September.

Hi, i would definatly have him bring a suit for your formal night photos, especially since it is your first cruise, they make great keepsakes. If you have more than one formal night just have him bring a different shirt to save luggage space!! You dont have to stay in it all night most people change after dinner!

As for the ladies, bring color coordinated flip-flops for most of your outfits as you will not need cutsie high heel sandels on board!! Learned that the hard way!!!
