Just curious to know if anyone has booked on the Dream yet for 2010 sailing from Port Canaveral.  Eastern or Western?  If so, what kind of deals did you get?  We are wondering about military discounts.  Have not talked with PVP yet, but itching to do so.  Looks like only time we will get to vacation in 2010 for cruises is January or February.  Happy Sailing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Doesn't the ship look absolutely awesome?  Can't wait to sail on this ship and see everything on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hi Linda, yep I've just booked the Dream today for April 2010 Western Caribbean.  I have been trying to decide between staying on the Legend for the same trip which I'm already booked on, but the more I read the more I wanted to change ships. 

I decided to treat myself to a Spa stateroom on the Dream.  I'm so excited watching this beautiful ship come to life - I can't wait.

Hi, My husband and I are thinking seriously about booking for January 2010 on the Dream.  I think it is great you got a Spa stateroom.  That sounds neat.  The ship looks awesome and I cannot wait to see it in reality.  I talked with my pvp yesterday and he said it is definitely going to be great and different from what we have experienced before.

Hi Linda a little FYI  - I'd suggest booking it sooner than later. When I called yesterday to change from the Legend to the Dream, I couldn't get the room I wanted - it was already booked and I'm leaving April 17, 2010.   I think this ship is going to fill up quickly.for all its early cruises. Only 647 more sleeps......lol

I'm booked on the January 2nd, 2010 sailing to the Eastern Caribbean.  I wasn't able to get a military discount at this time.  My PVP told me to call back nearer to the sailing date and more discounts would probably be available.  Since I couldn't get the military discount, I went with an inside guarantee.  If they come out with a mil discount later, I might see if I can do an upgrade or something.  We'll see.

 I'm excited to see the ship -- even though it won't still be "new" by the time I get on it.  I'm booked on the Legend for May of 2009 so at least I have that to look forward to in the mean time.

Hi Cruising Granny,  thanks for the info.  I wondered about that and I think you would be right.  I think probably today I will go ahead and call my pvp and book.  He sort of indicated that he thought the ship might fill up quickly too.  I wish we were able to go in April also, but my job just won't allow so we will have to settle for January or February.  I wish you a wonderful cruise and keep me posted.  Happy Cruising!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We talked to our PVP and she said that right now there were no type of discounts not even Military....we are looking at March or April so she said to check back after Jan. for any discounts.

 My PVP indicated that if they do come out with mil discounts that I will be able to get the discount when it comes out, even though I am already booked.  Was this the same story/feeling you got from your PVP?

Julie,  It sure was.  We just tend to book our rooms depending on the Military and past guest.  My husband and I are not military, but my parents are and we travel a lot together.  Sometimes we get free upgrades being past guest, but then my parents end up paying a little more then the Military rate for a deal like that.  I know sounds confusing right...or do you get what I am saying?    Anyhow, we are now waiting to see if I can get a passport for my son.

Thanks, Debbie.  I completely understand what you mean.  I had to go ahead and book so that I was at least guaranteed some type of room.  Between school and the holidays, that is the only sailing that we can squeeze in.  It is a graduation present for my niece who will be getting her bachelors degree in December of 2009 and then starting grad school right away in January.  I'll be in grad school already so I'll only have a short break in between terms.  So, if the discount doesn't come through, we'll suffer through an inside room and if it does come through, hopefully there will be a balcony for us to upgrade to.

 Let's all keep our fingers crossed that they come through with a mil discount soon.

Military discounts will open up soon...I hope, I think it's just a new ship recently that opened for sales. I booked the Spledor about 8 months before her inagural sailing and we got good military rates but they didn't last long. Also I notice that her prices have gone up from 449 to as high as 789 but now I think they are at 669 so it' hard to tell. But as long as we're booked they can honor any discounts that open up.

We booked a balcony room and our PVP said that as soon as Military rates open up, he will contact us and we will get the discount.  We are pumped to the max about sailing the Dream.  Here's to the MonkeyHeads and everyone else who may be sailing the Dream and any other ship.  Happy Sailing, woohoo

It is true - they will apply the discount later BUT don't count on anyone contacting you.  I'm not saying that they won't but keep checking yourself - give it a few months.
