The Bridges family will be taking their first ever cruise on this date with you!

The temperature in Regina SK Canada will be about -20C while we're gone. Anyone for drinks in fancy glasses with umbrellas in them at about 2pm daily to review our temp. at home and laugh?

Going home will be tough though.

     Steve.

    Re: Triumph western 2/8/09 ?

I was asked why a 2pm temperature check?

Here's why- our first day at sea 02/09/09

Temperatures in Regina SK (the HIGH temperature):

    02/09/08 -24.3C

    02/09/07 -22.3C

02/09/06 -1.3C (I remember this one- we were in Tshirts that day!)

    02/09/05 -2.8C

    02/09/04 -7.1C

    02/09/03 -12.9C

    02/09/02 -6.1C

    02/09/01 -23.0C

Avg. high temp  -12.5C or 9.5F

The last 2 years have been REALLY cold, avg high temp -23.3C or -9.94F.

The overnight low avg -30.8C or -23.4F.

Maybe we should change the 2pm'r to 2 am!

We would love to! By mid-February the cold temperatures here at home should be cold enough for us to enjoy ourselves even more with all of you aboard the Triumph.

    Count us in!

Hey so great to finally see cruisers for this sailing.  Being from Buffalo NY we always do temp checks while sailing.  In our party we have 2 seniors 4 middle agers and a 9 y/o 16y/o and 18 y/o.  It is mine and hubbys 3rd cruise 2nd with kids ,my mom and dads 8th cruise (lucky retired devils), sister and bro in law and nieces first. we would love to share cocktails and temp checks with all. Yea........ planning big 100 day count down party for halloween.

Hi Judy & Greg- look forward to seeing you at our 2pm temp check. Some around here thought I was nuts for suggesting doing this- I thought it would be fun! Trying to think up a temp check game- everybody guesses the temp in "your" city and then the closest one wins ????????

    What do you think?

Think the idea for a temp.  game would be fun... how about the furthest away buys the bucket of beer. Where in Canada are you?? we are 20min from the falls..... Judy

    Re: Triumph western 2/8/09 ?

Regina SK......... just drive east till it gets really flat and then drive some more.

Think Montana/North Dakota border and 2 hrs north from Canada/US border.

Good idea on the game- rules?

Can't guess on your own city? (you know too much about it, not a fair guess, all others guess) or everyone guesses on their own city and the one furthest away loses (again not fair- coastal cities more temperate, prairie cities like mine big temp swings.)

I do plan on having a full set of rules, disclaimers, triplicate entry forms (no carbon copies please) all ready for examination and signatures prior to the first round. I'll be waiting patiently at the bar while you finish those. Just let me know when you're done.

Great idea on the rules and for the most part we always can be found soaking up the sun on the lido deck ( try to store up enough to keep warm till atleast april)

I am going to have to study up on your weather patterns so I wont go broke. LOL

    Re: Triumph western 2/8/09 ?

Well friends, we're just under 5 months away by the little countdown thingy that runs on my desktop. Any suggestions on excursions? Our group is fighting like cats & dogs to get what they each want- Ocho Rios is decided but the other 2? I have gills and will be waterlogged most days, the Boss doesn't like water (but is OK taking a cruise?!?!) but should be pleased by a pleasant beach experience. The kids? They want to do everything!
