Congrats, that is great!  So where are you and your fiance coming from?  We are local right here in Tampa, just excited to try this particular cruise right in our backyard lol  ... We have cruised several times before out of the other ports in Florida, but we found it to be so nice last year when we cruised out of Tampa on the Inspiration. We had about 30 people go with us and it was a blast for such a small ship. The reviews for the Legend are really good, so I think its going to be a fantastic time for all! We have been to alot of these ports before , so this time we are going to do excursions at Belize ( Cave tubing) and Cozemel ( cooking class , that sounds so fun ... Lots of margarettas, buffet, and use of beach equipment) apparently thats a hidden gem through Carnival , but It sounds kinda fun! And of course we will aslo go to Senor Froggies and Carlos o kellys in al the ports.  lol  We flew into Grand Cayman back in April, and we found some great places to go to. Let us know what you and your finace / future husband are planning to do ... The more people, the more fun !

    Take care :)

We are actually from Tennesse, about 40 miles west of Nashville to be exact, but we are getting married in Destin, Fl on Saturday the 4th, and flying to Tampa from Pensacola on Sunday morning. We've been looking at all of the excursions, but we can't make a decision. I know we're swimming with the dolphins in Honduras, but we haven't made any other decisions. We're looking at cave tubing in Belize, but I'm a little concerned about that one. I'm not much of an outdoorswoman (I'm pretty sure I just made that word up :), so I don't know if I would like doing that one, but it looks pretty cool. We've also been looking at the mini jeep tour and snorkeling in Cozumel. Of course we want to do plenty of shopping, and drink plenty of margaritas!  Maybe we'll run into ya'll along the way! This is the first time for my fiance to ever fly, and to ever go on a cruise, so I want to make the most of it for him espescially!

Yes , that would be great!  The 5th is actually my Birthday, so you will have to meet up with our group for a drink!  Wow that is amazing that you you all haven't flown before, that should be so exciting for you both!  I have been to Tennessee many times before, but always the memphis area. I am originally from Iowa ( lived in Tampa for about 10 years) , however my moms side of the family is in Tupelo MS.  Again congrats on the nuptials, and the cruise is going to be a blast!

My husband and I will be on the 10/5 Legend trip. This is our first cruise but we're going  with friends that have been on 8. I think there will be 12 of us all together. We are flying from Wisconsin the day before. Nice to finally see someone posting that they are on this trip with us!

My family will be joining you all from Tennessee, just south of Nashville. We will be coming with a group of 50 or so, mostly from Tenn, but somewhat scattered across the country. Two teenage boys (16 and 18) and a friend tagging along and always looking to meet others their age. My brother and his family as well. Look for us in the piano bar if it's any good, you'll have no problem recognizing us!

What part of Tennessee are ya'll coming from? We can't wait! We've been counting down the days for months! Have ya'll booked any excursions? We were looking at them yesterday, and it only would let us see the excursions for the Cayman Islands and Belize, so I'm not real sure what's going on with that. Well, I'm glad to know that I won't be the only one on the cruise with a Southern accent! Maybe we'll bump into ya'll along the way!

Re: Cruising on the Legend Oct 5th 2008 any others going that week?

We live in Murfreesboro but our business is in Joelton. We do a business cruise each year the first week of Oct. I'm not sure about the excursions since my wife does the planning and I just do the agreeing. Yes dear, whatever you say dear. There are quite a few options depending on what you enjoy and more importantly what you want to spend, unless you are my kids then it really don't matter does it? Honduras is a new port this year and from what I have heard it rivals Cozumel. Cozumel is generally the favorite Western carribbean port but I have heard Roatan is better. The stingray adventure in the caymans is pretty cool and fairly inexpensive. You can snorkel right of the beach at Eden Rock not far from where you tender, for like 12 bucks and it's pretty cool, nothing like what you'll find in Cozumel or Roatan. Belize is a  bit different, Cavetubing and ziplining is fun if you are adventurous, but some people find it best to just stay on the ship at this port. Cozumel is a blast, lots of shopping...whoopie!! Well my wife likes it anyway. Snorkeling is awesome in the crystal blue waters, and there are a few bars and restaraunts that are well worth it. Since we cruise annually we have done most of it so if you have any specific questions feel free to email me at Thegrocer247@yahoo.com and I'd be happy to try to help. Otherwise you'll have a good time no matter what you do, because like anything it is what you make it and I choose to make it a blast. Check out the piano bar and if he's any good you'll find us there whooping it up and I'll buy ya'll a drink to celebrate your nuptials!

We will be cruising this week on the Legend too!  My husband, me, and my two boys (will be 26 mo and 10 mo), my mom and stepfather, and my brother.  Its my husband and I's first time on a Carnival cruise, we took a RC cruise on our honeymoon.  Its everyone elses first cruise ever.  We are all really excited, though a bit nervous about how the kids are going to do!  My husband and I's 4 yr. anniversary is the 2nd so its sort of a little anniversary vacation  :)

Hi all - I too am traveling on the legend this weekend.  It is my first cruise and my first vacation away from my husband and kids.  I'm going with my mom, aunts and cousins.  I'm kinda sorta getting excited.
