    Carnival Miracle - Extended balcony

What is the perk with having an extended balcony in the mid-ship aread versus a regular balcony (besides its size in length)?  I appreciate your sincere feedback. I've cruised with Carnival twice before in "inside and oceanview cabins".

    Thank you,

    Jac

It is just a bigger balcony. Room is the same size. Nothing else.

I have to be completely honest.... The room is not bigger, but the balcony is twice the size as the regular ones.  We just got back from our cruise and our extended balcony was in the very front of the ship and it was not good.  The balcony was so extremely windy, that we could not go out there and enjoy ourselves.  I think it was just the aerodynamics of the ship and that being in the middle would probably not be as bad.  We still had a blast....I am not complaining, but I wish someone had set that expectation for us.  No matter what room you get, you will have the time of your life...  We had only had oceanview previously, as well.

I had the extended balcony on the Spirit and it was only 1.5 feet wider than the regular balcony same length - really not that much different.

We had it on the Pride and I liked it. Felt we had more leg room to stretch out and lay out. The only down size there is much more of you exposed from above!! Surprise

I'm sorry you weren't able to experience your balcony. To me, they are the best part of the cruise ;)  I always get the aft balconys, that way you can experience a nice light breeze and watch the wake of the ship.  It's awesome.....

The extended balcony is double the size of the normal balcony, and I believe it is worth it.  It makes the balcony much more enjoyable.  Your privacy will not be any less because the balconies above you will also be extended.

We are booked in an extended balcony on the verandah deck in November and can't wait!!

The last time we had a balcony was on the Victory and we could hardly move it was so small.

I hope it isnt too windy!

we just got back and had cabin 7200, extended balcony...we loved it and spent a lot of time on the balcony.  When my husband would sleep in the morning I would read a book out there... it was very peaceful My husband likes to have a cigar and he would sit out there at night and do so under the stars.
