You go online and you can register for the fun pass. Yes, you have to do it.

If you don't go online and fill out the fun pass you will have to get in a long line of people who don't fill them out when you check in. It will make you later getting on the ship.

Go to www.carnival.com and click on the words "My Cruise"

You then click on the words "Fun Pass"

You may have to log into the carnival web site before you can fill it out.

The "funpass" is essentially the completion certificate you can print off saying that you have filled out all the information [personal, passport, front- and back-end travel arrangements, etc] that Carnival needs to have in order to either [a] comply with government regulations, or [b] ensure that they know enough to help you get onboard efficiently or off on time.

Do it online at the links others provided, because some of the information is fairly arcane and if you don't have it at the ticket counter in [whatever port you are leaving from] it's usually difficult to drive home and get it.  Not to mention, it takes forever for the ticket agent to do it at the ticket counter and holds everything up.

All of the info must match. The Freedom sails from Ft. Lauderdale not Miami. Maybe that's the problem. You can always call on the phone for help. Good luck.

Jack, If you booked direct with carnival call their 800 number, if you booked with a travel agent call your agent and they will help you.  Carnival if stopping sending the docs in the mail so you will have to make sure that you can get your problem with getting your cruise entered on the site.
