Won a free cruise raffle on the Elation and have questions!

My husband and I bought raffle tickets this week on the Elation and we won the raffle prize for the free cruise! We get a free crusie anywhere we want to go (5 days or less, cat 6A, airfare is our responsibility)

Has anyone else won before? Could yu pay the difference and upgrade to a 7 day cruise or a balcony? We have very few details right now but are sooo excited to have won!

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

Wow, congratulations. I've never won, but I'm sure that Carnival would allow any upgrade you wish. That's really a smart way to do it. It would be a great initial payment on a better cruise or cabin. Good luck.

Wow, that is really cool!! Congrats!! Do you know if they sell raffle tickets on every ship for free cruises? I sure will be checking this out on our upcoming cruise...LOL

Yes, there is a raffle each cruise. On the Carnival Pride, my husband was one number off from the winner, need to be one person later in line. It is exciting!

Yes they have raffles on the cruise ship and also a game of Bingo for a free cruise. At the end of the cruise they have you fill out a comment card & one card from each cruise is drawn. All the ships send that card into headquarters and they draw one card a month from them for a free cruise.

Congrats !!! My DW and I just came back from a cruise this past week on the Carnival Legend. Played the last game of BINGO on the last evening of the cruise, and we won.B-I-N-G-O !!! a Free cruise for 2 for 3, 4, 5, 6, or up to a 7 nite cruise, with a category 6A stateroom as well.

The certificate I received on Board (formal certificate to arrive within 3 weeks) listed the following exclusions*: No Xmas or New Years cruises, must be used within 12 months of original sailing date of the cruise we were on, non-transferrable and No Cash Value.

Any airfare, port taxes and fees, as well as IRS responsibility for the value of the cruise selected is on us. I have some of the same questions u have, including possible upgrading. We already have booked a cruise for next June, and have time-share plans for Xmas & New Years; just have to find a time slot to go Smile

Hello I also won a cruise on Aug 09. I received the info for my free cruise by mail and by email after 3 weeks of winning the 7 day cruise. They will work with you for any special request. We requested a 8 day cruise and we had to pay $100/person more plus taxes. Don't lose the certificate that they gave you; you will have to send it with the paperwork that they will send you. If you have any questions please call carnival representative Tanikka.

Im with you irishlizz, I want to win one too. That would be the best ever. I never win anything. I cant even win a free scratch off ticket when I play. Cant wait to try to wina free one for the next family vacation...Happy Sailing and only 69 days till heaven for a week

Wow, I wanna win, too. I have always heard about the raffle, but I have never found out how to go about buying a raffle ticket. Is that different from the comment card cruise?
