I'll cast a vote for Malcom in The Middle (woo hoo)--Victory 2006 and Mark Harmon--Miracle 2006.

Ray (Liberty 2008); Goose (Splendor 2008) and whoever was on the Spirit last month were forgettable though the Spirit guy was okay when he bothered to be around.

    Carnival Liberty 9/2008 (Eastern Carribean)
    Carnival Splendor 12/2008 (Eastern Caribbean)
    Carnival Spirit 6/2009 (Alaska)
    Caribbean Princess 11/2009 (Southern Caribbean)

I have to say, I never pay much attention to the cruise directors except when I hear them far too often on the intercom, but did like Risa on the Inspiration - November 2008.

Hands down Malcom in the Middle...woooooooooo hoooooooooooo. Have sailed with him three times out of Norfolk Va, have been on two other cruises...and there is no comparison....I'm searching for a cruise now and wish the Victory was still leaving from Norfolk...where Malcom goes...I'll go...he brings even more life to the ship. I went on a cruise with my mom with him and on one by myself after she died of cancer....Malcom went out of his way to make sure even though I was grieving, that I would have a great time. He's got a wonderful personality. More than not you hear wooo hooo going on, it's a little thing, but it makes a difference walking around the ship many people are smiling and woo hooo each other:). I took one cruise out of FL on the Valor and the whole feel of the ship was different and not in a good way...I'd fly anywhere to cruise with Malcom again...the energy is undeniably electric and just great fun....thanks Malcom, hope our paths cross again...woooooooo hoooooo

Not sure what his name really was, but we called him Wee Jimmy!  He was hilarious and at times as often as he was on the intercom my hubby suggested maybe he take a couple good downers.  Wink

Just got off Conquest and Kyle was the CD. he was very forgettable, but the assistant CD was Marcello and he was fantastic. Kyle had zero personality. At any rate, it didn't dampen my cruise. I don't pay much attention to those intercom interruptions anyway.

LaneLane... I am with you 100%... Malcolm was so funny. I had him as my CD twice, and I saw that he is going to be on the Miracle now. He was origionally on the Victory. I would love to cruise with him again.

Yeah, I'll throw my vote in for Malcolm, too. He was our CD on our 2006 Christmas Cruise (Imagination).  Malcolm definitely kept things lively, even in the corridors. We were all "woo hoo"ing all over the ship. Yes

I VOTE FOR Malcom Burns! He was my cruise director last December (08) and was awesome!!!!!!

BUT, [:'(], I heard that he left the Victory. Does anyone know where he went? Is he still working within the Carnival fleet or is he gone, gone? Oh no!!!!

Does anyone know who is on the Carnival Victory now? I'm going on it again in December (09).

Thanks for the link. Man, I will miss Malcolm.

Question - has anyone heard of Karl Bird or had him on a past sailing? He'll be on the Victory when I sail with my family in December.

I believe that is Karl with a K. I have read good things about him, but I have not sailed with him.
