    Holiday Cruise

We are boarding the Holiday on Monday July 3rd and would like to know any recommondations for a hotel for Sunday night.

Is it possible to park at the hotel and be shuttled to the port?

Would it be better to go ahead and drive to port?

Is Mobile back to full operations?

Mobile was never shut down by the hurricane.  Minor cosmetic damage only.  In fact the cruise terminal which flooded during the storm was back open and servicing the Holiday within days after the storm.  A popular hotel for cruisers is the Raddison Admiral Semmes downtown.  They have a park and cruise package for $109 a night with free parking, breakfast and shuttle.  Call direct and ask for the cruise package.  251-432-8000.  Parking at the terminal is $10 a day payable up front.  The terminal is right downtown so it is very convenient to everything in town and the I-10 as well.

http://mobile.org/   On site click on Pre and post cruise Baycation specials for a list of hotels with cruise packages.  Some are better than others.  The Holiday Inn Bellingrath is another good choice if you're driving and they have free parking and a free shuttle as well although they are located about 15 miles from the terminal.  The Raddison is actually walking distance if you wanted.  Enjoy your cruise!

Mobile  is back to full operations and is an easy place to park with parking garage ($60  Mon. - Sat) a short walk to the elevator to 4th floor to embark.

If "fun pass "has been filled out, it is a breeze . Nice, modern and clean.

We also went out on the Holiday July 3, this was our 4th cruise second on the holiday. I will say this Mobile has the best port as far as gettung on and off the ship especially if you have your fun pass filled out. If all ports were like Mobile it would be great.

    Re: Holiday Cruise

Hi there!  I live in Mobile and you can stay at the Riverview Plaza, I think the new name may be Renaissance Riverview Plaza and I think their number is 1-888-236-2427 the hotel is really nice.  They are under renovations right now and I actually stayed in a room last week for Mardi Gras.  The hotel is actually within walking distance of the port, so you could decide whether you wanted to park at the hotel or at the port depending upon which would be cheaper!  And yes Mobile is back to full operations.  We were lucky to not get things as bad as New Orleans so it was not that bad here!    Have fun on your trip!!!

We love the Renaissance Riverview hotel....it has a cruise ship theme so it gets you in the mood to cruise a night early.

Also, the Battle House down the street is nice.  It is an old historic hotel that has been renovated fabulously.  The lobby is beautiful.
