I had posted this message previously, but put it on the Europe board..... I guess that was the wrong place for this and I received no answers.  Thanks in advance for any information you can share....

We have a small group (6) booked on the Freedom for the April 26, 2008 sailing from Miami to Rome....  Looking for general information regarding this cruise....

1.  Formal nights (number)

2.  Do they have 24 hr food (of any type available)?

3. Is coffee available 24/7 (for the VERY EARLY risers.)

4.  Laundry service onboard.

5.  We have booked this trip with Legendary Journeys and will have a 6 day stay in Tuscany following the cruise....  What are the general luggage limitations when flying home?  Shipping options for purchased items?

6.  This will be our 4th Carnival cruise, but the first TransAtlantic.  My wife is concerned about stability in the open ocean.  Comments?

7.  Have arranged category 8A cabins... comments?

8.  Any general information relating to shore excursions (must do/avoid, etc) appreciated.

9.  I have seen mention of Wi-FI areas on the ship.... what is the cost of this service?  It is getting hard to be away from email for any length of time these days <grin>

10.  Any other comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.

I hope you both have a nice cruise. We Booked for Carnival Splendor on 10/29/2008, also thru Legendary Journeys. We have a 5 day stay before the cruise.I wonder if it's in the same hotel? 

I would guess that they would have at least 2 formal nights since its a longer cruise.

24 hour food, pizza station & ice cream, room service is 24 hours, only have to tip.

coffee & ice tea have stations that are open 24 hours.

Laundry service is self serve laundry rooms on decks thruout the ship. I think the machines were $2.00 each.On the other cruises we took they left a laundry bag in the room towards the end of the cruise.
