Just booked Freedom, April 18 2010

Seems like I have been back on dry land forever, but in raelity only 3 weeks. After having serious cruise withdrawal (as well as work related STRESS!), we have booked our next cruise on the Freedom. Oh, I feel so much better, now.

Earlier this year, our daughter became engaged to be married, and announced they are to be wed on a beach in Jamaica, on April 22nd. The method of travel for the wedding party and guests, to get there, will be on the Carnival Freedom. Two things became immediately apparent. 1) we raised her right! 2) they are a highly intelligent young couple. Excitement is building ! This will be her 5th cruise, his 3rd... and our 9th. If you would like to say hi when we set sail.......we will be the party of 15 with big smiles, along with the young lady with the white gown.

Jan 10, 2010? Anybody going?

Its a bit early probably but anybody going on this date? This will be our first time on the Freedom and we are really excited. We have two kids....daughter 13 and son 10. They will miss a few days of school but oh well! Never been to Key West so that will be fun. The kids have never been anywhere except Bahamas so this will be cool for them. Love Grand Cayman and Jamaica is lots of fun too!

Has anyone ever stayed on this deck? Is it noisy because of the pool and the slide? We are in room 1027. Looks as to be below the sausa and salon.

Just got back from cruising the Eastern Caribbean (Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Tortola, Antigua & Nassau). Had a fabulous time. The ship was in tip-top shape! Very clean. The food was better than any other Carnival ship that I sailed...especially the Sun King (Specialty Rest.) celebrated my B-day that night...great food & service! Great shows in the evening! Gee....those Carnival dancers really work hard. Weeeeeee Jimmy was the bestcruise director around!!!! Props to him!!!!!!!!!! The ports were nice as well. Not enough time & things to due in P.R. Got there at 5PM so all you could do was find a restaurant to eat in. We made reservations for Carli's Caribe on line for Mon. eve. & when we docked & walked to the rest. we found it to be CLOSED! We were pissed!!!!Tortola & Antigua were pleasant islands. Beaches were nice. Went to the Atlantis in Nassau....wayyyyyy to big for my taste!!! They need little trollies to take people around from place to place! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestion on good shore excursions when we are in port at Limon Costa Rica and Colon Panama?

I have already chosen something for my favorite port of call in Cozumel but am stuck on choosing one for the other 2 ports as I have never been to them before. If anyone can help that would be great.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to ask if people know if there is spots on the Freedom Cruise ship were they have noticed lots of motion movement. First time on this boat. Not sure if I will need motion sickness pills.

Hi everyone,

Do anyone travel on the freedom? My husband and I are booked on this cruise for our birthdays (yes both of us Feb. 15 and 19) and our 5th anniversary Feb 17, 2011but I really don't see any post about this ship I certainly hope it's a great one. We are booked on the Feb 26, 2011 sailing but may chage if this is not a good ship. we have only traveled on the Fasination in Feb. 2008.

Margaritaville in Ochos Rios

My husband and father in law are going to do the chuka zipline but my mother in law and I do not want to do this so we were thinking of going to margaritaville. Is there an excursion that just takes you to this beach or will we have to get a cab...any suggestions?

Anyone on this cruise? It seems so long away and I can't wait. Always good for winding down after tax season! I keep watching the prices. It's dropped twice since I booked.....saved $400!!!! Let me know if anyone else is going on this cruise.

As you plan your next cruise you have thoughts about how you packed to much, or took to much on this past cruise or to little of this last cruise and then you have booked your next cruise. What would you do or not do on your next cruise? A 3 day, 4 day, 7 day or longer?

I've been on several Carnival cruises, I even got married on one, so I'm somewhat of an experienced cruiser. However having never cruised during the holidays, I was wondering if Carnival does anything special or different on a Thanksgiving cruise? Are there "after Thanksgiving" specials in the shops? Is there a Thanksgiving dinner? Do they begin to decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving? We are booked on the Freedom's Thanksgiving cruise and I can't wait! Just wondering if anything will be any different.

Additionally my parents will be going on a cruise out of Baltimore the second week of December. Does anyone know if they will see a change in anything on the ship to reflect Christmas and the December holidays?
