I am booked with my parents for the crossing on the Dream. We have done many cruises befoe but never a TA. Can anyone give me answers onthe following questions?

1. How many formal nights?

2. Are there any specail themed nights since it will be over Halloween like a masked party?

3. Any special things happen for the days at sea?

4. Are soda cards the same price? if not how much are they?

5. We have a spa cabin and I am the third person, do they ofer a spa pass for the entire cruise?

Any oter tips anyone can offer for this type of trip like packing etc pleas share :)

October/November TA Weather

Hi All...

Considering a trans-Atlantic on the Freedom or Splendor this coming October or November.

Do you know what type of weather we can expect…I looked at the stats and I know it will be cool, but can we expect to get some sunbathing days on the TA portion of the voyage or will be be confined to the closed decks?

My husband and I were thinking of doing the transatlantic cruise next year and I was wondering what it is like crossing the Atlantic ocean. Has anyone done one of these cruises? Is it just as stable as most other cruises? or does it get somewhat rough out in the open ocean? I'm still pondering this cruise, so the info would be nice. My husband thinks it'd be interesting.... me not so sure.

My husband and I are on the TA cruise on the Freedom on 11/06 and we are flying into Paris then to Rome on the 5th, if anyone is flying in on that day would you like to share a cab from the airport to the hotel? we are at the Traiano hotel in Civitavecchia. We arrive at 5:30 pm the evening of the 5th. I checked with the Rome Cab and it's quite expensive but we can share to our individual hotel. We have been with Carnival since the Mardi Gras and the Festivale and we have been on all their ships but three, some twice. We love Carnival, I am just a little worried about the crossing since we have never done a TA before, I trust we are doing a southern crossing. Please let me know if you are interested.

Good Morning Everyone.....

I had posted this message previously, but put it on the Europe board..... I guess that was the wrong place for this and I received no answers. Thanks in advance for any information you can share....

We have a small group (6) booked on the Freedom for the April 26, 2008 sailing from Miami to Rome.... Looking for general information regarding this cruise....

1. Formal nights (number)

2. Do they have 24 hr food (of any type available)?

3. Is coffee available 24/7 (for the VERY EARLY risers.)

4. Laundry service onboard.

5. We have booked this trip with Legendary Journeys and will have a 6 day stay in Tuscany following the cruise.... What are the general luggage limitations when flying home? Shipping options for purchased items?

6. This will be our 4th Carnival cruise, but the first TransAtlantic. My wife is concerned about stability in the open ocean. Comments?

7. Have arranged category 8A cabins... comments?

8. Any general information relating to shore excursions (must do/avoid, etc) appreciated.

9. I have seen mention of Wi-FI areas on the ship.... what is the cost of this service? It is getting hard to be away from email for any length of time these days <grin>

10. Any other comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I will be sailing alone and I am looking forward to a lot of private time to relax, read, roam, and exercise.However, I'll get bored on a 14 day Cruise and would appriciate spending small periods of time interacting and connecting with a few "like-minded" souls. I have been divorced for over 10 years and have two adult sons. I am a retired High School Art Teacher, and have traveled the world extensively. Hope to hear from some of you before the Transatlantic Cruise departing Rome on October 28, 2007.
