Hi everyone,

I am new here. I am so happy to have found this site, there are a lot of great posts that I have been reading.

I just booked on the April 23, 2010 leaving from Honolulu. It is part of my honeymoon trip and me and FH are so excited!! It is our first time to Hawaii and it will be our 2nd cruise (our first was on the Carnival Fantasy to the Bahamas 5-4-06). We will be flying to Oahu on April 17th and staying 4 nights in North Shore at a condo we found on vrbo dot com, and then 2 nights in Waikiki at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Then we leave for the cruise!!! I'm so excited for my 18 night honeymoon!!!!

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some info on what to expect on the Spirit. From what I have read, I'm expecting that we will be some of the younger cruisers on board (we will be 26 and 27). That is fine with us...not planning on doing a whole lot of drinking or partying.

Any advice on what would be some good activities for honeymooners? Both on the ship and off the ship.

Before our cruise I was thinking about doing a helicopter tour of Oahu, a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and driving to Turtle Bay one night to have dinner there. Anything else anyone can suggest would be appreciated.

Anyone else going on this cruise?

Does anyone know how the "my time" dining works...I'm wondering if we request a table for 2 if we will get it.

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to find out ahead of time what nights are formal nights? I'd like to know ahead of time so I can plan my activities accordingly.

Oh and we have room 5299, an aft extended balcony, category 8I. Really wanted a suite, but there were none left!!! Does anyone know how the catergory 8I rooms are?

Much thanks!!!!!

My wife and I have booked a Hawaiian cruise and would be very appreciative if some of you folks who have been there would be kind enough to fill us in on the do's and don'ts. Our cruise is with another cruise line because Carnival does not offer a seven day cruise. We will be embarking in Honolulu on a seven day cruise that winds up back in Honolulu. Since we made flight arrangements ourselves, we plan on arriving in Honolulu a day early and spending the first night in a hotel on Waikiki beach.

Honoluu port

Anyone help on how the boarding works in Honoluu hawaii for the first night.
The reason I ask, is that I was on an NCL ship last year, and LOVED the itinerary but hated the cruise line. The whole "Freestyle" cruising is a big crock in my opinion and thought it would be great if Carnival "The Fun Ship" had the same cruise but with the "The Fun Ship" persona.

I know you currently have cruise ships that cruise to Hawaii, but I'm not to fond of the at Sea Days and flying into one port and flying out of another... because that is expensive.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Can someone tell me the procedure for clearing US customs on our cruise from Vancouver, BC Canada to Hawaii?

As first time cruisers we are not sure what to expect.

Do we clear customs at the first port we stop at (Hilo, HI) or do they somehow do this before we sail from from Vancouver?

The ship stops at 5 islands in Hawaii. I assume we would have to be cleared before the last stop in Honolulu.

Thanks
