We are going on Cruise 10/26 on Fascination which is a Monday. We are driving down from Myrtle Beach, SC to Jacksonville on Saturday and plan on going to Zoo on Sunday. Has anyone been there and would you recommend the train? Does that take you all around the Zoo?

Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt Place by the Jacksonville Airport? I received a reasonable rate there and thought it looked interesting. How easy is it to get around from this location, as we are staying for a day after the cruise and have no vehicle, yet we're considering renting a car.

Either the Clarion Airport or the Microtel Airport (which is apprx 6 mos old). Has anyone stayed at either of these and if so, have any comments. Any help would be appreciated!

Birth Certificate Question

So, we asked my husband's mother if she had a copy of his birth certificate. (She's one of these people who keeps EVERYTHING and keeps it organized). Anyways, she did have it. However, it is his ORIGINAL one. It was printed 6/30/1980. If it didn't have the raised state seal, I would think it was a photocopy.

My question is.....Will this be okay? We won't be questioned or harassed for having such an old document, will we? It is definately a real certificate of live birth.

Process for non-parking cruisers

If I take the taxi to the terminal, will the porters be out front when the driver drops me off? Also, I have a big rolling duffle bag and wonder if I first try to take it onboard myself and then find out it won't go through the X-ray machine, will I have to "go to the back of the line" again or will they take it from me right there to check it for me?

I am the outgoing into everything one and he wants to sit in adults only area and listen to his MP3. We want to be able to get in touch with each other but not have to spend every moment together. My husband and I are going on a cruise in May and just found we have some really crappy tickets on the way home from Jacksonville. We are leaving from Jackson to Detroit at 6:05 pm and then flying back to Ohio from there. Are there any recommendations on what to do while we are waiting?
