Planning A Carribean Crusie Summer 2010 - Need Suggestions

Hi all. We are past cruisers, 3 cruises on Carnival and 1 on RCCL, and are planning our 4th Carnival cruise for the Summer of 2010 to the Carribean. We have been to St. Marteen, Martinique, Barbados, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Nassau x 2, and Freeport. We would like to hit some different islands before we repaeat any of the others listed above. This is where you come in. As frequent crusiers and past cruisers this is where you come in. Please make suggestions on islands that you have cruised to and would reccomend. Thanks. Dunn's River Falls

My husband and I want to go to Dolphin Cove and Dunns river falls but we are unable to make the 600 foot hike up the falls.

Will the tour guide take us to the point where we would meet up with the hikers????

Snorkeling in Key West in December

We have booked the catamaran snorkel for our December 14th in Key West...but when I started thinking about it I was wondering what the water temp was like this time of year and if it would be too cold? Any suggestions????

Traveling to the West End in Roatan

My husband, myself and 4 others will be in Roatan in March and are wondering what is the best way to get to the West End. If we use a water taxi can you pay them in US funds? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nassau

Seems that every cruise we take, we end up in Nassau at some point. That being said, Nassau is becoming a bit over done for us. We have done the Aquarium at Atlantis, snorkled on a reef, strolled (if that's what you can call it) the Straw Market, walked around the town, done the water taxi to Atlantis (that was fun) & various other things. Anyone have any ideas as to something different & fun we could do? Although we are seasoned cruisers, we are taking a friend who is all new to this type of adventure. Something that would be fun for us & an adventure for him. Thanks in advance everyone. I know my brothers & sisters in cruising can come up with something exciting... Libby

Ocho Rios Blue Hole with Peat Taylor

Just back from Carnival Liberty October 24th. Went to Blue Hole & had a great time. There were 2 waterfalls to jump from & a trail that took you further up the river. There water was a beautiful aqua blue color. Definately would go again! Let me know if you have other questions.

Cozumel

Anybody go to Cozumel on the Glory lately. I am curious as to what pier they dock at. The Puerta Maya pier is where Carnival recently opened their new cruise center. Am hoping that is the one. It is close to Poncho's Backyard and great shopping.

Only thing i can say about is its the GHETTO of the caribbean, only thing you have to do is look at the inner city and you will see the same thing on there. Trying to sale drugs to kids as soon as you get off the ship.

The Hubby and I are departing on Saturday (Fantasy) for 5 days, last hurrah before he heads back to Afghanistan. Our ports are Progresso and Cozumel. I am a first time cruiser and I am going on the Valor on oct. 11th to cozumel, grand cayman, Belize and roatan, Honduras. I am completely confused in general, but would really like a reccomendation on which mayan ruins excursion to take. I hear there is one in belize and one in Cozumel and i am not sure which to choose, if any! Also, how deep is the water in the stingray sandbar? Is it worth doing?Any other reccomendations?

hi everyone my family and I are looking at a cruise going to Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Cozumel. My wife and I have been to Cozumel twice in the past but have never been to Jamaica or Grand Caymen. we are going to be on the freedom first week of january. Wondering if doing the day in atlantis excursion is a good idea? Is there enough time to do the pools and such? I hear they close at 5pm? Kind of expensive if we only have a couple of hours? also, is the weather warm enough? Any other thoughts on nassau?? Thanks guys.. we are newbies here !!
