Sea Trek Helmet Diving in Cabo

Hello there - Just curious. My husband and son are going on the December 28th Pride New Year's Cruise and are thinking about doing the Sea Trek Helmet Diving excursion. Was curious if anyone out there has done it, especially someone with eye glasses. My husband is just about blind without his glasses and I can not tell if he can wear them or not. It would be great if he can do it so all three of us can enjoy the excursion. Please let me know if you can do this with glasses. Thanks a bunch for your thoughts.

Any divers know what the water temp should be in mid November (15th-21st) Carnival Splendor. Interested in diving in Cabo just wnat to know what I should bring shorty, skin, or t-shirt and shorts. Any help GREATLY appreciated.

I dont mean through the cruise ship/Carnival... but has anyone directly booked with Cabo San Lucas Tours (with Johan & Sandra)??? They are the same excursions as the ship offers, but at half the price, but am leary of booking online to Mexcio...anyone done this??? Thanks in advance!

Cabo Dolphins??

We're planning on doing one of the dolphin excursions in Cabo, but not sure which (interact or swim). I hear that these book up fairly quickly. Has anyone ever not booked this through Carnival but able to book it upon arrival at the location? I'm wondering if there would be space available if we just "showed up" at the dolphin location. Would love to hear from anyone that's done this. Thanks!

We just got back from the July 2nd sailing on the Elation. Our first cruise ever. We changed our minds about the Spirit in December and tried a shorter cruise first to see if we liked it.

We did this excursion and loved it. Our guide (Nacho) was great. We went out to Lands End on a catamaran....the service on the boat was excellent. Everyone in Mexico was happy to see the cruise boat and tourists.

After the catmaran we went to the beach resort. It was soooo hot. 100 degrees and almost 100% humidity. Honestly, 2 hrs was perfect. The food and service there was superb.

The only cheesy part was the 55 minute shopping at the end. They drop you off at a new mall in the hopes that you'll "return" there to shop at the mall the next time you go to Cabo. You just "go with the flow" and when it's all said and done you have over an hour to shop nearthe pier after they return you from your excursion.

2 days in Cabo, OK to get a hotel overnight?

Instead of going back to the ship at night when tendered for 2 days in Cabo, is it OK to get a hotel and stay over -- I've heard so much about Cabo evening views. If OK, how does one make these arrangements with the ship?

When we arrived in Cabo we tendered to the Marina and pd $5 pp to water taxi over to the beach area 5 mins away. There they have all kinds of water activities and restaurants. 2 of our group rented jet skis at a rate of $65pp for 1 hour. 3 of us pd $30 total for a glass bottom boat tour who took us over to Lovers beach and Lands End which lasted about an hour. We then had lunch at THE OFFICE which was very good but very pricey. The water taxi from the beach back to the Marina was only $3 pp....they try to get you to buy a round trip when you go over at $10 pp......My guess is that you can prob. neg. a better price getting to the beach at abt. $3 pp.....The water in Cabo was the nicest for water activities. The shopping area that is closest to the Marina when you get off the tender was disappointing since the vendors there don't seem to care if you buy or not....they were several dollars higher on the exact same things we found in Mazatlan and PV. The vendors were actually borderline rude.

Has anyone ever combined these two into one trip? It does not look like we have much time in Cabo San Lucas and we definately want to experience the whales but as luck would have it- Cabo Wabo is my husbands favorite drink, it is made in Cabo, and we are there on New Years Eve!! Why not start the party at Cabo Wabo?!

Could anyone who has been there please give me directions from the pier and any other suggestions you might have as a must do in Cabo.

We want to see the stuff on the Land's End Cruise but we want to take the Cabo by Land and Sea excursion. I just want to make sure I am going to see similar things.

my wife and i will be in cabo as part of our 7-day mex. riv. cruise. i founnd an excursion that we would love to do but i am not sure about the time line and wold like some opinions or first hand info if nayone has done this. i found the tour on cabosanlucastours.net. it is a 3 1/2 hour tour called chileno bay beach break.some stop at a few spots (the arch, lover beach,chileno) it leaves at 10am-returns 1:30pm. we are in cabo until 3pm on the cruise ship. do you think tis is cutting it too close to get back to the ship or is it enough time. love to hears your thoughts. 40 days and counting!!!

FYI..If you see an excursion that catches your fancy..go for it. But don't stay onboard ship. Cabo is easy to navagate

Cabo San Lucas was an easy walk (basically flat). We carried a small map but found locals very helpfull. We were able to find CaboWabo Cantina, El Squid,and for us a Harley Davidson dealer etc. Just follow the marina around . Most tourist attractions are only a block or two off the marina. As you are tendered in, you will pass Lover's Beach and The Arch, not up close and personal as if you took one of the excursions but a little closer than just from your ship. Friends rented RV's with a guide and completely ejoyed the who experience. Signed up for whale watching and coastal cruise.Awesome!
