How long does it take to get off the ship when your cruise is over?

This question is actually for my girlfriend's mom. She booked a cruise in Feb 2010 and was wondering how long it takes to get off the cruise at the end of it. The ship ports at 8AM on the last day and she was wondering if she'd be able to make a flight that left out of Tampa at 11AM. I wasn't sure if you could get off the ship as early as you wanted after you port or if you had to wait until you were called. Thanks for all the help!

So, my friends and I really like to drink and party. How much is a drink going to cost me on the ship? I'm sure that we'll be spending an astronomically amout of money on drinks regardless, but I just wanted to have an idea. Our cruise leaves on January 11th. If anyone is going let me know if you want to party with us.

Cell Phone Service after sailing?

Does anyone have any idea how far away from port (Tampa) you can get cell service? Our high school football team is in semi finals on the day we sail and we want to know the outcome instead of having to wonder five days :) Ship leaves at 4pm EST and the game starts at 2pm CST.

Cruising 1-16-10 with 3 kids, 15, 11 and 9, anyone else?

Anyone know a good, cheap way to contact comeone on this ship?

My girlfriend recently got a job on the cruise and it's so hard and expensive to talk to each other. Before she left, she got skype but it cuts out all the time and sometimes doesn't connect at all. She also has to buy Internet cards for $20 per 200 minutes. She spends most of those minutes trying to connect though. She has been calling me from the ship phone, but for that she has to spend $20 for each 100 minutes. The other way is calling the main cruise number and paying $9.70 a minute for a maximum of 10 minutes.

So my question is, does anyone know a cheaper more effective way to talk every night? Can I somehow use a phone card to get through to her? Just hoping a veteran cruiser may know something that we don't. We've been trying to figure out solutions but no luck as of yet,

So, for those of you who have cruised a lot, is there a certain food that Carnival provides that is just too yummy to pass up. Something we should all know about, and be on the look out for? We don't drink at all, but if you have yummy suggestions for virgin drinks, I'm all ears. Obviously, given where I put this question, we'll be on the Inspiration in January, so for all of those who have sailed this ship, input please:)

anyone else sailing on this date? This will be our 2nd cruise, but this time we our bringing our 24 yr old son and our 21 yr old daughter! Our daughter is in the airforce and stationed over in Kuwait right now, but she'll be home in December, so we decided to take the family on a cruise!

i would like to get my daughter aquinted with a couple teens before we leave.she is 17.my sister just cruised with her 16 year old and said everyone had a great time but her.she says she didnt really know anyone and kind of clung to her mom which in turn made it hard for mom and dad to have time.

if you have teens please give a shout out.would love to have that part nipped before we go to insure a good time for everyone.

My friends and I are booked to cruise on the Inspiration on 09-07-09. We were on the same cruise last year. Does anybody know who the new cruise director is? Last year it was Risa, but I've heard she's on another ship now. Someone said it was Filipe, but someone else said it wasn't.
