Definately bring a steamer, not an iron. I always pack those $1 rain ponchos in case it rains. They are easier to carry around than umbrellas. A little rain shouldn't ruin a day in port

We just returned from our 5 days last Thursday and wished we had brought a travel clock or at least made sure everyone was wearing a watch. Buy the biodegradable sunscreen (Australion something or other) in the ships gift shop ($12.00 as compared to $22.00 at Chankanaab Park). We had packed battery operated fans that were attached to water bottles so that you could fan yourself with water mist but forgot the bag they were packed in. We sure missed them as it is getting really hot down there... you could probably pick some up cheap at Walmart along with extra batteries.

Kim Steam irons are strictly forbidden to be brought aboard. There are free use of irons in the laundry room. You are allowed to being a steamer. Many cruisers bring wrinkle release and we just hang any wrinkled clothes in the bathroom, the steam from the shower eliminates the wrinkles. I just returned last Friday from a marvelous cruise on the Holiday. I used www.cruisediva.com for ideas, but I gotta tell you that the best thing I brought was an over the door shoe hanger with pockets. You can put ANYTHING in those pockets and it will keep it up and out of your way. The bathrooms are very small so my daughter and I put everything in those pockets and it was always at our fingertips. On a previous cruise I had purchased a couple of shawls so I took them, and I was glad I did. Although it is hot outside, the inside of the ship is extremely cold, or at least it was to us. If you like to sleep completely in the dark, and like us had an inside cabin, then you might consider a nightlite. I also took an extension cord with extra outlets, which came in very handy. I would also suggest getting a prescription for the little patch for seasickness. We did that and never had any problems, although it was mostly very smooth sailing. Oh - you will want to take lots and lots of sunscreen - and use it! Relax and have a wonderful time. Go have tea in the afternoon at RIck's Bar. If you like wine go to the wine tasting. Play trivia and win a "ship on a stick" or a medal. Say "WHOO-HOO" at every opportunity. Order from room service - and don't forget to meet lots of new people.

Bring a power strip as there is only one outlet in the cabin and one outlet suitable for a razor in the bathroom.
