Going on a cruise with the whole family from Charleston SC to the Bahamas Dec 1st of 2010. The Fantasy will be the boat we go on and I was wondering what its like? I took a cruise on the Fascination last time and it was wonderful.

So my husband and I are taking our 2 children ages 7 and soon to be 10 on there first cruise. I have a few questions about the camp carnival. First, the day we get on is there anything for them to do? Also what are the things they charge for in camp carnival? Is there a pool for the kids in camp carnival cause i was looking at the map of the ship and also when i was on it 1/5/09 i didnt see one, so I was wondering if i overlooked it. And life jackets do I have to bring one for them or does carnival have ones they can use for the pool? Thanks for all ur answers ahead of time. And yes everyone is right after you cruise once ur addicted! Already looking for cruise #3.

We are on Fantasy out of Mobile on Dec 28th. We have plans when we are in Cozumel but don't for the stop in Calica. We were thinking of to the Xcaret Park, Can anyone tell me anything about this park.

Hello All!! I've booked my first cruise for January 16-21st, 2010. I'm overly excited and can barely wait! (Long way off, I know!) It's myself and 3 friends, we're all cruise virgins! I'm hoping to talk to other cruisers booked for the same cruise! I'll also gladly take any advice anybody has to give me. I'm kind of worried about the weather in January. Is the water in Cozumel usually warm enough to swim in during January? If you're booked for this one, let me know!! Thanks!

We are booked for October 30...well over a year out...we will be celebrating Halloween on this trip. I am so excited the they decided to bring seven day cruises to Mobile!!!

This cruise will also be number 10 for us...we will officially be Platinum, which means no more waiting in the "regular line", free gifts, free laundry...and who knows what other free stuff!! Never thought we would hit 10 this soon!

This cruise is truly a great price though...couldn't pass it up!

Enjoy!! So when are you going???

I know it is early for a roll call...but somebody out there beside me and my friend are booked. We are leaving the husbands at home to attend to the house, kids and dogs!

This is my 6th cruise and my friends 3rd. Our 2nd cruise together...when you find a fun "playmate" you go again together! We are lookiing forward to recharging our batteries and relaxing away. We can't wait to meet new friends...our last cruise we met 2 ladies and we became the "Spice Girls" we know how to have a good time...

Maybe the clock will reset...having issues...

To all those wonderful families sailing on Fantasy, 26 July, out of New Orleans, I wish you Bon Voyage. As a teenager I went on several cruises with my parents. That was back in the 1970’s and those trips were some the finest memories of my life. Moreover, now that my dad is gone those memories take on added meaning and are even sweeter. I carry these memories with me everywhere and hope your children will as well. However on this sailing it will be just my wife and me. Our kids are adults and off on their own. Hence as cute and wonderful as you think your children are, and I am sure that they are, we do not want them exploring the adult areas. We are not on a cruise to baby sit your children. I say this because on our last voyage aboard the Holiday you could not swing a beach towel without hitting a kid. And the worst part was teenagers approaching adults at the bars to ask them to buy liquor. These are big ships and the professional staff aboard goes out of their way to segregate things so that age specific activities can be enjoyed by the appropriate age group. You will not find us in the kids disco and or game room. We will not be finger-painting at Camp Carnival or swimming in the kiddies’ pool. Hence and with all due respect to your children we do not want to see them on the adult deck, at the bars, in the night clubs and or trying to sneak a peek at the ADULT European style sunbathers. Cruises mean different things to different folks. Have fun with your kids and allow adults to have their own brand of fun. Explain to your kids that they are still children and as such are not welcome where adults gather, party, drink and play in the sun. Any like minded adults who feel they way we do please take the time to shoot us an email as we would love to chat about things to do during the trip.

I am going with my mom dad brother and some family friends. The other family's kids are 7,8,and 15., and my brother is 27...I am hoping to meet people more my age to hang out with. I have never been on a cruise in which I have never had a friend with me. So it would great to know if I wont be alone! Even though I never have a bad time with my family. I am soo excited though!!! The 21st cant come sooner!!!

It is myself, my husband and we have 2 boys, they are fixing to be 14 and 8 years old and this is our first cruise...Carnival Fantasy out of Mobile, AL on 12-5-09. Just wondering if there will be any other families with kids around my boys age. We are very excited and ready to leave....only 60 days left and counting....we are planning to do the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel...has anyone done this? is it worth the money?
