Our last stop was Roatan and it was so amazing! I could book another week long vacation just to stay there. We spent alot of time researching on CC and decided to do a Victor Bodden tour. It was the best tour we did! Our driver was waiting for us when we got off the ship and he was ours for the entire day for just $40. He gave us a quick spin around the island telling us about it and knew all the tourtists favorite places to stop for some amazing views and photo ops. Then we had him take us to west end bay beach. West end is the way to go. We went to the infiniti bay beach which is next to several others, its an amazing beach, very good snorkeling. We watched snorkeling excusions come and go while we stayed as long as we wanted, while our driver hung out on the beach for us. At the end of the day we found the peachish pastel shops right in front of the port are the best places to shop.

Re: Roatan or no Roatan?
I just received an email from our property manager on Roatan near West End beach area. The island is calm, there has been no changes with the exception of a curfew (doesn't affect cruisers) that was in place for about two weeks and is no longer active, so business is as usual. There was a peaceful protest as mentioned in an earlier message comprised of local nationals as well as Americans resident on Roatan and Canadian resident on Roatan plus a smattering from other nations.

You'll love the island of Roatan - get off the ship and go have fun!

All the bad publicity from this government needed action is killing the tourism industry and it's such an awesome place.

It was absolutly Beautiful ! No problems at all ! We booked our day at Fins and Flippers, you can find them online.. there was only 18-20 people on the island 1/2 mile away from the ship.. and it was like having your own beach and place to snorkel .. they had animals, and drinks.. we had a fantastic time , I would highly recomend Fins and Flippers to anyone traveling to Roatan .

Re: Roatan or no Roatan?
