Hi Jeanne,

My wife and I just signed up for the August 23rd cruise. It will be our 3rd cruise with Carnival. Have you ever cruised before? Carnival has some awesome programs for kids. We did a cruise 3 years ago with our 4 kids. At the time they were 18, 16, 13 and 11. We could have gone pretty much the entire cruise without seeing them, so we had to make a point of planning in family time. If you have any questions, please let me know and we can offer our advice (something you will never lack for on this website).

I heard doing the zipline is great. The cave tubing can be intimidating to some, especially if you have any phobias of closed in spaces. But I heard it's great and my wife and I are thinking about doing it. As far as Grand Cayman and Roatan, have you thought about doing some sort of snorkeling with your kids? My kids loved it a bunch and it's a good family activity. Roatan is supposed to have some great snorkeling.

This is the cruise we are taking too! This will be my 3rd cruise (2nd with Carnival, 1st on Legend) and my boyfriend's 1st ever!

We have not book any excursions except for golf in Grand Cayman. Has anyone explored the Mayan Ruins of Tulum (Ultramar) outside of Cozumel; the Altun Ha Mayan site with the River Wallace or the Xunantunich Mayan sites in Belize; and the Jolly Roger Sailing & Gumbalinda Park in Isla Roatan?

We might have to look at the cave tubing!

These are the ones I am looking at. However my traveling companion had a double transplat in August 2008. And is not sure what she can handle.

We are going on this one. This is my fourth cruise with Carnival. First time on the Legend. This will be the first time to cruise with my kids, both their birthdays (18 and 27) and my daughter's graduation. Lots to celebrate. There will be 6 of us. We cannot wait.

We haven't booked any excursions yet. Any sugestions?

Anyone going on Aug-23-2009 Legend cruise?

We are bringing our kids age 12,13, and 14. We have signed up for Cozumel-Zipline through Carnival. I'm looking into signing up for Belize-X-treme Cave Tubing. http://www.belizecruiseexcursions.com/CaveTubingBelize.htm
