We are taking our 2nd cruise with carnival 0n 11/29/09 with two other couples from New Braunfels,tx. We have all booked ajoining balcony suites on the rear of the vahranda deck.

Months ago I posted a far away posting. Well according to my count down clock we are only 97 days out now. To date I have only heard from 4 other cabins on the ship - surely there are more folks cruising this date.

The best part about cruising is all the wonderful people we meet and touch with. There will be 14 of us on this cruise and we are looking for more fun folks.

questions: gym/fruit/water/excursions

We'll be on the conquest 11/29 to jamaica, cayman and cozemel.

What equipment is in the gym? Do they have kettlebells? Is there a track for running/walking? Is it indoors or outside?

What fruit is available, other than bananas, citrus and melons? Can you buy ripe fruit on the islands near the ship? I've heard wandering around Jamaica isnt' safe.

I know you can bring bottled water but can you bring bottled water in gallons (I prefer distilled water and it comes in gallons)? I'd only bring 2 gallons.

Are the carnival excursions all overpriced and not worth it? Any reliable other excursion companies?

I have looked everywhere for a roll call for this one, forgive me if I overlooked it!

Is anyone booked on this cruise yet? This will be our first time cruising and our honeymoon! We are super excited and I am already losing sleep reading the forums until the wee hours of the night! :) I can't imagine going on a cruise without reading all the great info on here first. You guys are great!!

My girlfriend and I are going on the 7 day cruise to the bahamas on dec. 13 . this will be my 3rd cruise with carnival and my gfs 5th or 6th cruise.

Even though we just got off the Ecstasy on the 14th of sept. we can't wait to get on the Conquest dec. 13th.

Just thought i would throw this post up and see if we could meet anyone ahead of time that would be on the boat at that time.

Just booked the 1/31/10 cruise to Western Caribbean! I am getting out of the Army and decided to celebrate. I am cruising with a friend of mine, and hopefully we can meet some cool people to hang out with. Does anyone have any recommendations for shore excursions? I look forward to hearing from some fellow cruisers.

What is up with Montego Bay not listing excursions?

Travelling on the 1/3/10 Conquest and still no listing of excursions for Montego Bay...I have called several times and they keep saying a week or a few days or whatever....is something happening there? Any suggestions on a good place - close to terminal and safe we could take a group of 10 for the day with food and drinks and beach?

Lost camera at Turtle Farm

We were on the 11/1/09 cruise on the Conquest. In Grand Cayman on Thursday Nov. 5th, we did the Turtle Farm, the "deluxe" package where you can snorkle and swim after the tour. My son and his girlfriend had a waterproof camera that they were using underwater for the fish and such. They think they left that camera sitting on the side of one of the lagoons or by the chairs near the changing rooms. I know she would be thrilled if anybody turned that camera in.

We have six people. Can anyone tell me what to expect to pay, either two taxis, or a van to take us to all three of these locations? Are we better off making arrangements ahead of time, or will it be just as easy to grab a taxi once we're there? Of course, we would like the best price we can get. Thanks
