Keep an eye out, there were dolphins playing at the front of the ship, and we saw whales in the ocean not too far off.

If you are a lottery scratch off addict, they have their own that they sell at the beginning of bingo. Kiwi is very entertaining. (the rest of the helpers during bingo are the dancers from the shows)

For all those smokers out there, the most relaxing place to have a drink & a cigarette was on the starboard (right hand looking forward) side of the continent pool on the lido deck. Covered in case of bad weather, deck chairs to lounge, tables to eat at, bar a few feet away, movie screen. There was an ashtray on the balcony & one attached to the wall in the bathroom, but I did not smoke in the room.

If you get invited to the "art auction" for the free glass of champagne, most of the pieces started in the thousands, the first one auctioned went for 10,000. So unless you have the money, that time is best spent elsewhere.

The gentleman playing the piano at the bar in the lobby was awesome. All without sheet music.

Best not to arrive right on time for dinner, be a couple minutes late to avoid the mob scene.

RYAN FROM SOUTH AFRICA IS THE BEST WAITER EVER!!!!!!!!!! Paris, lower level 6 o'clock seating.

If you are going to the shows, get there early for the best seating, I swear people were wrestling each other for seats as showtime got closer.

Tip the room service people when you order, when you sign for the food, there is no charge, so there is no auto tip. Have breakfast at least once in your cabin, it is very relaxing. Try the roast sirloin & brie if you order a sandwich. It was delicious.

Loved how the steward lined up my shoes while I was out.

If you get a chance to upgrade to the penthose suite-do so, just for the bathtub alone.

I enjoyed the whole thing & would go back to Canada on a longer cruise.

Re: Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

Hey I was on the Triumph 6/7-6/11!

Thanks for the review My soon to be wife in 11 days and I are going in 13 days for the same 5 day cruise and we are really excited. I have been wondering about the weather and I hope it is ok. I will keep in mind to maybe just stay on board for st. John. Thanks for all of the info.

Don't stay on the ship in St Johns! Take one of the tours, we took 2, Trolley & beer tasting. It is a beautiful town & full of history. You learn all about it on the tours. And sample the fudge in the tent.

As for the weather it was only the beginning of June & we were headed north, cooler up, warmer down. It does heat up as summer gets closer. Then again, luck of the draw with weather. People were swimming/hottubbing the entire time.

If they have "the marriage game" in Rome go watch, it was hysterical!

Re: Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

I agree with you 100%

Re: Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

I wouldn't stay on the ship. Granted, St John is not a Carribean Island with lots of cheap shopping, it is a real city with a lot of history. It is one of the oldest cities. Take a walking tour, the welcome committee from St. John will give you info of places to see. Rent a bicycle, and tour the water front. Do what we did, and just off the ship, walk north, you will find a small stand that rents bikes, and sells tours by boat, and also the famous jet boat ride at the reversing falls. You will get wet, but it is fun.

Would I visit it again, no, but I did enjoy the stay, and it was a nice change from having people run you down, to sell a cheap necklace....

Re: Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

poconos, Warm Melting Chocolate cake.YUMMMMM...They should make it a law that every one should have one at leat every week!!!!! anthonyjtefft dont miss out on St.johns, even thou it is small i think everyone should at least check it out once!!

Re: Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

Thanks for the review My soon to be wife in 11 days and I are going in 13 days for the same 5 day cruise and we are really excited.
Dot

Review...YAY....6/7-6/11 NYC to St Johns

Hey all, ok now that i have slept i can review!

well embarkment and debarkment were wonderfull went smoothly

Just to warn this will be a long review

Day 1

got on the ship went to lido deck for lunch....SOOO crowded but i delt. the food was nothing special, just buffet food. The lido deck staff were nice they came around asking if we wanted drinks. Then went to room which was better then i expected. Babb our room stward was awesome words can not even describe. Now comes my trek to guest services...Ugg the line was crazy i know they canit control the lines but you can at least have more then 2 people working. Munster Drill Time, It went Good. Now when thats done back to the lido deck to watch Lady Liberty roll by and our very own men in blue (NYPD) escort. Exciting . So mini golf was our next stop then it was nap time. Got up for dinner, we were in paris upper which by the way was a pain to find but once it was found i got there fine all the other times. So our waiter was Stan he is awesome the best, our table mates were the best too. more then i could ask for. FYI Warm melting chocolate cake was my weakness OMG it is the best. The food was good i tryed all types of soups and bisques. Then came the "Show" Jorge the cruise director i think thats is what he is , he is pretty darn funny but the comic they had on next was so so. So by this time at night (11pm) it was either sleep, eat or go to the lame hollywood disc. I think i wondered, ate then slept. it was a good first day!!!!!!!

Day 2 (sea day)

Me Being awaken by the bright light comeing in thru the window
time for shower dressing and b-fast. Back to the lido deck for all the pancakes and bacon u want..YUMMMMM...So i think i watched Ice carving, Hairy man chest compition and then came karaoke..FUNNN...I have to shout out Sunny he was the best singer ever!!!!!!!!! So shopping ensued umm got a anklet and bracalet from the most funnest and best guy ever who worked at the Gold For a $1 an inch. Nap Time , Then dinner were they sang happy b-day to me and i was embarrassed but it was cute. Then she show was "Around the World" wow was this bad but i loved it non the lessOk honestly i have no idea what i did this night i guess it was not that special.

Day 3 (St Johns)

So i wake up to a building in my face, i guess we have arrived. All we did was walk around and take pixs in the port. There was not really alot to do. But i made the most of it. Made my way back to the ship for lunch. Picked up my jewelry and went to dinner were the waiters danced. It was Great I think my waiter got hotter ever day . The entertainment for the night was a magic show UGGG...it was ok no biggie. I did the mexican buffet at midnight , boy was it crowededkindof got on my nerves but i survived. Then Sleepy time she comes.

Day 4 (sea day)

I did nothing this day, OK maybe something. UMM cartoon trivia and karaoke. Talked to this one staff guy the whole day. I hope i did not get him in trouble . Dinner they sang it was cute. the show was "the big easy" it was better then the second night.

Weather - It was warm then cold then foggy then rainy..so i know not to go to canada again.

Staff - Some of the friendly people you will ever meet and they shove drinks in ur face awsome

Ship - Over all i was kind of bored but found things to do. And yes the elevators were a mess but i toughed it out just got on what ever came first. Carnival i will travel again I have 2 more cruises booked.

I think thats all, I tryed to post pixs but did not figure that out yet so soon pixs.
