We are not going to do the Halloween costume thing. There just was not enough time to get something together.

We will also be sailing on the Triumph out of Norfolk Oct 18th. This is our first cruise and we are really excited. We are celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary and hubbys birthday (Oct 24th).

We are from Colonial Heights (outside of Richmond). We have a balcony room and have booked the Stingray Adventure. We were thinking of doing the Sedgeway tour but have not made a final decision.

Since we booked through AAA under a group booking I am not sure if we qualify for a credit if the price dropped, but I guess it would not hurt to ask.

See you on board!

Re: Triumph OCT 18 2009 out of Norfolk

We just got a call from Carnival offering to upgrade our cabin to a balcony for $100 per person. We were booked on the Main deck with an oceaview. We decided to go for the upgrade and will be on the Empress deck. I have never had a room with a balcony. How is it? Are there chairs on the balcony? Is there any privacy or can you see directly into the neighboring balconies?

The only drawback I can find is the room we orginally had was located in the middle of the ship and our new room is awfully close to the rear of the boat.

Five more days to go!

I'm packing a pump of hand sanitizer to keep in our room and a travel size one to carry around in my bag everywhere we go! I do not wanna get sick when I'm supposed to be on vacation! Although, I've been feeling kinda cruddy the last few days with these crazy temp changes and my allergies are really kicking my butt! So many things to do this week...gotta get the kids up and at school as usual and still clean the entire house for my inlaws to stay and keep the kids during the cruise...laundry...pack....at least I will have something to do everyday to make cruise time come faster :-) I think I said a few posts ago but hubby and I are dressing up as Sookie Stackhouse and either Bill or Eric (my hubby would prob pass better as Eric since he's tall with lighter hair than Bill) from the show True Blood on HBO which is based off the Southern Vampire Mysteries written by Charlaine Harris. What are you all gonna dress up as? I don't think our costumes are elaborate enough to win any contests but it will still be fun to pretend to be someone else for a day :-) This time next weekend I will be freaking out! HAHA!

Re: Triumph OCT 18 2009 out of Norfolk

been checking norfolks 10 day weather forcast .. right now says 63 and partly cloudy .. well hope that temp goes up close to 75 but as lng as its not raining . we have to get our dry cleaning for the dress up nights .. and well then put every thing in to the suitcases .. the holloween party should be fun . our costumes are ready . what are yall dressing up as .. realy cant wait to get to the room 1st time we have had a balcony .. carnival called last week and asked if we wanted to goto a suit .. i told them thats ok we will stay where we are ..wife baught a few of the germinx spray pens for us to carry .. dont wantto get sick .. i have my coin from last years cruis to put in the slot machine this is the most hardest week to pay attention at work to busy thinking about getting on the ship and having fun
