im trying so hard to get in touch with one employee that was just working on the Carnival Glory cruise 9/19/08-9/26/08.

his name is Kendall, from Trinidad and Tabago. he was working on the 9th floor, lido (?) deck, on the little stage by a pool, he was the entertainment during the afternoon. black guy with beautiful dreads past his shoulders!

if anyone could help me in the least little bit pleasssse!!

Looking for guidance on purchasing a wine package on my first Carnival cruise, cruising on Glory leaving January 3, 2010. I know there is one, just haven't been able to find it again. I also had questions as to whether you can purchase all the bottles of the same wine or if you get 1 bottle of each.

Just wanted to let everyone who has a trip booked on the Glory, that you are in for a treat!!! The ship is beautiful and so is the crew!!

We had a wonderful time on our November 7th 2009 sailing. We were traveling with a group of 21 and many were first timers. Despite hitting bad weather that made the boat rock really bad we had so much fun thanks to the staff!!

Our room stewards were all very efficient and accomodating. Our Waiters in the Platinum Dining room (Salvio and Gorge) were awesome and my son and daughter enjoyed them so much that they said the dining room was there most favorite part of the trip!! The Maitre'd put on a singing and dancing show every night with the staff. And our drink girl Lani never let our drinks get empty!!

The Criuse Director Ryan and his staff was great, Like I said we hit bad weather and the dancers had to cancel a couple of shows so the entertainment staff had to improvise but the shows were great!!

The photography department and the store clerks were also very friendly and helpful.

The food was great and plentiful. And they had a new comedy club on the Glory and it was hilarious!!!

So hats off to Carnival Glory Staff!!

Booking Shore Excursions for 01/24/10 HELPPP

So I have been patiently waiting for the shore excursions to go on sale for this cruise. They finally are on sale for 3 out of the 4 ports and the ones that I want aren't an option. Could it be that those particular excursions aren't available yet? I'm really hoping they will be available on this ship!

Nov 7,2009 on the Glory for first cruise ever

Just a few of my observations from my first cruise. I planned this cruise for 18 months for my 32 year old daughter and myself (my husband came along also). VIP embarkation was wonderful. Went right up to Lido, it was great we had a server named Jerome who looked for us and took care of us all week. I hear that after our first 3 buckets of beer I had a dinner napkin on my head as a bandana and was having a great time. If I could do the cruise over again I would just get off the ship at each port and get a taxi to the beach, stay as long as I wanted and then get a taxi to shopping or restaurants or whatever. Tho I will say in St Maarten we booked with Bernard's tours and got Junior for our driver and he was personality plus. He also kept a cooler full of ice and Carib beer and rum punch all day. He was very funny and informative. We went to Orient beach for 2 hours. We got an umbrella and 3 chaise lounges for $10.00. The water was turqoise, the beach was white, we had a beach restaurant behind us with live Caribbean music. I could have stayed all day and next time I will. The bummer was that St Maarten was having a holiday while we were there so most stores were closed. Our room steward (Max) was totally awesome, the supper club was so worth it. I got tired of being asked if I wanted a drink. It starts at 8 in the am and never quits. I wish they had certain areas so that I wasnt asket 4-5 times an hour. I didnt like any of the DOD or really the beer they offered. But highly recommend the banana daquiri on St Thomas. Didnt get to try the Bushwhacker because we went on a tour that didnt include that unfortunately. Food was really good except for breakfast. Even in the dining room, we were hungry for hashbrowns and were surprised they serve those little potato patties just like McDonald's. Never saw a show in the dining room like I've read about. I never even saw the Maitre'd that I know of. The towel animals were so great. The stewards work very hard. Wish we had more pictures taken. They had an area on the ship where you could go and take an elegant picture or a casual one and lots of others. We didnt realize that until the cruise was almost over. We are already looking for our next cruise. But we're checking out all the cruise lines, not because Carnival was bad but just curious about what they all offer, tho I expect Carnival is the least $$$ P.S. loved the art auction (bought a set of 3 pictures for $330.)I thought that was a great deal but to frame and ship they ended up costing $1000. I was kind of upset about that and just wanted to take my pictures with me in one of those tubes but they were pretty uncaring about what I wanted and very pushy so instead of fighting I just agreed to it to end the arguing. Not Carnivals fault I know. The comedians were great. I won $300. in the casino, they had 3 slots that I really like but hopefully when they drydock in January they will update their slots.

11/7/09 Carnival cruise Glory trip review.

This is the husband: We went to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Martin.

This is in no way bashing the cuise line or its employees, Everyone was wonderful and very willing to go above and beyond!With that said. i was a little disappointed in this cruise. This was our honeymoon cruise and was really hoping for a little more than we got.This was the rockiest cruise i have ever been on( i have only been on 1 other cruise so that might not mean anything my wife agrees with me how ever and this was her 7th.. but you know it’s bad when all the sea sick patches were all sold out..) I know this is not the boats fault, we had that hurricane thingy causing the rough seas, they had to cancel most of the shows. and that darn song is still stuck in my head.. *Taxi driver taxi driver honk honk honk beep beep!*

I was disappointed in our waiter for dinner he seemed a little too disguinshed and not as fun as allot of the other waiters. He might have smiled once.. ( we were always the first one to be seated in our area and the last to be served our food, not sure how that worked.)I didn't care much for the food and they could not seem to cook my flat iron steak Medium.

i am not one for fancy food so that might be another reason i didn't care for it.Now this one was probably the only thing that i think They could have handled better for us.. They took us to St. Martin(Which was by far the most amazing place i have ever been to!) But they didn't let us know until after we got on the boat that it happened to be a national holiday there and everything was closed. Thankfully we booked a private tour and had alot of fun regardless.

The layout of the boat could have been better, we found ourselves having to use the elevator just to get from the front of the boat to the back of the boat on the same floor. and i HATE those glass elevators. They would never stop on your floor, you would see it coming down and it would just keep on going...Only thing i can think if is they always maxed out the weight limit?

The ice cream was eh.. the strawberry flavor was the saving grace. They cleaned our balcony and they opened the side door and didn't lock it back so one morning we woke up and thought it was foggy, nope, it was the side door up against our door. We tried to close it back, but i guess it didn't lock back, so later when it got windy it was slamming into the door and had to call services to have someone come lock it. Do not order room service lol. We ordered it at 3:00 in afternoon. 2 sandwiches. apple juice and sides.. we got it at 4:45 and i guess the language barrier for apples and Tomatoes are similar because we got tomato juice instead.. needless to say, we ended up using the 4:00 bottle of water with that meal

Now for some positives! Our cleaning person Staney was AWESOME! he was so nice and always greeted us by our first names including my wife’s nick name. It was cute, He made us some really nice towel animals and he was like a ninja. i only caught him cleaning once. The supper club was awesome i got to finally eat some wonderful steak cooked just how i liked it. The staff was overly helpful and must have picked up and put back the same spoon 4 times during dinner ha. We liked it so much we did it twice. I won $350.00 in the casino on a 25 cent slot machine and we used that money to gamble with the rest of the trip, we had a ton of fun in that casino. we ended up with about 79.00 after it was all said and done, but i figured, heck, i didn't have that money to begin with and we didn't have to use any more of our own money to gamble with. Got a shave and a haircut on the cruise and it was relaxing and i would do it again. Thank you to all the people who suggested Bernard's tours for St. Martin!!!!! this tour made our entire trip worth it! I Highly recommend this tour of the island We went to the nude beach and the beach where the jets fly right over you to land. and some other places i don't remember where else hehe.

We almost got in the newlywed game but a couple got married in St. Thomas that Tuesday and we got married the Friday before. However i was the guy in the hat who was brought on stage before the game for my amazing "cold animal pose" during the trivia game.The comic was really funny we saw both his pg and R rated shows he totally mooned the people outside waiting for the next show, we only wish the other comics would have made their flight to be on the boat.. stupid tropical storm.I was going around imitating Ryan the cruise director's voice all week, that was fun and i bumped into him as he was walking in the casino holding the raffles and he still took time to say hello to me which i thought was really cool. Getting off the boat was pretty good. We didn’t have any problems and went through customs without as much as a stop really.All in all i would give this cruise trip a 6 out of 10.. however, take the same boat, same personnel but different ocean( because of the storm) and i bet i would have given it at least a 9

Not the worst trip, could have been better(really erks me about ST. Martin being closed, they should have maybe gave us some kinda of discount ) but we made the best of it and spent lot of time together and finally got to see Monsters vs. Aliens, and sadly some of "ghosts of girlfriends past...(don't tell my wife!) I hope everyone else had a wonderful time And i hope that chick who got stupid drunk on our tour and asked me and my wife how many times we made woopie since we had been on the boat made it back safely..too much rum punch....Again please do not take this as a negative stab at Carnival, just giving my honest opinion and experience.

Booking shore excursions for 01/24/09 on Glory

I am booked on the Carnival Glory leaving Miami on 01/24/09.

I have tried to go into shore excursions to book them and I am unable to. Is anyone else unable to book their shore excursions for this cruise?

I heard that you could purchase shore excursions once your cruise was less than 90 days away that you could book excursions.

Glory pictures departing 11-7-2009

My wife and I took a short trip to Port Canaveral over the weekend, have some great pictures of the Carnival Glory leaving her slip and heading out the channel. ( We were the ones honking our car horn and waving from the seawall. )
