me and my wife are going on the pride in april 11 for 7 days. we both like to drink. we plan on getting off the ship at ever stop and doing something how much do u thing we will spend and i heard u can order bottles of liquar to your roon is that true

Hi my family and I, 7 adults and 2 children are sailing on the Pride December 27th. Has anyone taken this cruise before? When are the formal nights? Should I bring a gown for the NYE celebration. I am trying to get an idea of what and how to pack. Thanks in advance for any input.

I was just looking at the information in the cruise book and it said that if the weather is crucial at the time of sailing they will refund the passengers money or give them another cruise of equal value. I am hoping that this doesn't happen. I love this idea of sailing out of a northern port and heading south in the winter. I know there are a few other cruise lines that have been doing this, and I am wondering if anyone has gone this type of route before at this time of the year.

Just wondering whether it will be warm enough to use the pools and slide on the way to Florida? We leave Baltimore on Nov. 8th, and my boy's will be disappointed if they can't can't get in the pools, or use the slide.

Driving to Baltimore port from NJ on Ravens Home game day

We are sailing on the Pride from Baltimore on November 1st. I read in other posts that if Baltimore Ravens have a football game at Home (in Baltimore) , we should budget extra time for driving. Well, with our luck it is a Home game day for the Ravens.

We are driving from NJ on I-95 south and would like to know :how much" extra time to budget? On an average weekend day it takes about 3 1/2 hours for us to reach Baltimore Inner Harbor area so I was thinking of leaving home around 9 AM to be at the port around 12:30 -1 PM.

Any advice will be appreciated.

My sister bought me a weeks cruise on Carnival Pride 15th Nov. 09, along with her. I live in UK but she lives the the States and she booked. Tried upgrading myself as a surprise to her to Suite! What a nightmare!! Everything is an 1-800 number and as I am sure a lot of people know not possible from UK. This is my first time on a cruise and I cannot believe my sis has done this for me. I look after my elderly mother who has dementia so desperately need a holiday. I have now got to let me sis do the upgrading which means no surprise! I had an email from 411 to say we can upgrade to suite 11 category but I hesitate to wonder what its going to be like....... Will let you know.

Taxi Ride to Port from Airport

My wife and I are sailing out of Baltimore on the Pride December 27th and this is is our first time cruising out of this port. We have always gone to the port city at least one day in advance but with the holidays we are getting there the day of. I am wondering if any local cruisers could let me know if there are any stores on the way to the port that a taxi driver can stop at for us to pick up some water and soda? We always take some beverages on board but we are flying in from Boston and obviously can't pack any!

Any help with this is appreciated as well as any info on what a taxi will cost!

I highly recommend the Sleep Inn in Linthicum, MD, for anyone cruising out of Baltimore. They have a Cruise & Park Package, including Breakfast. They are only 10 minutes from the pier, and on the right side of town for traffic avoidance. They have a nice restaurant on the premises, and theye are 5 minutes from 2 other restaurants that serve the BEST Crab Cakes you will find anywhere in Baltimore. Ask for Glen, and tell them ET sent you!

I am soooo glad to see that Carnival will be using Baltimore, MD as a port in 9-2009, I am ready to book, I noticed the itinerary is not set, may I suggest adding Key West for consideration along with Half Moon Cay(this is a beautiful port) and the Bahamas. sorry I was not impressed with Grand Turk.
