Flu Like Symptoms- Carnival Policy?

does carnival have a policy with denying entrance on the cruise ship if someone has flu like symptoms?

I would think that there would be given the tight quarters and tons of people and that its an epidemic....my boyfriend came down with mild H1N1 flu symptoms today and we leave on the Destiny Sat 11/21....Should we cancel? Is there an official policy with the flu epidemic?

Editing your e-mail address

I'm trying to edit my e-mail address in my profile. On the "Carnival" information page, I can't change my e-mail address, which is the address that pops up when people e-mail me. I have changed the "E-mail" page to reflect the address I want to use, but it does not change the Carnival page. Any ideas?

Upgrade to a spa stateroom without amenities

I've got a question for Carnival: why would Carnival upgrade a guest (platinum status)

to a spa stateroom, but withhold the amenities? What are the benefits of the room then?

Hello, hope this is the right place for my question. We are looking for our third cruise with Carnival and have found the early save offer. Now I wonder, does this mean, that we can't choose a stateroom exactly and Carnival will give us a stateroom? It is about a balcony stateroom in Feb. 2011 - so we have plenty of time.... Thank you in advance for any information.

We are Cruising in January and know that we can take 1 bottle of wine per person on board with us. I also know that if you take a bottle of wine to the Dining Room, they will charge you a corkage fee. My questions are as follows: 1) If I purchase a wine package (5 bottles) how are they delivered to me?. 2) Are they delivered to my room (which I would like as we enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony before dinner)? 3) Or do I have get the wine in the dining room at dinner? 4) If I buy the package and take one of the bottles to the dining room for dinner, do I have to pay a corkage fee since I purchased the wine from Carnival? Any insight to these questions would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Clarification on Platinum Benefits

My next cruise is my 10th cruise and I see that my documents have me identified as VIP. Aside from my cabin we have a second cabin booked that is supposed to be cross referenced with my cabin. The occupants are not Platnium. How will the priority embarkation/disembarkation work? We are all traveling together and it wont really help me out if I am off the ship and they are still on it.

Is the new Mahogany Bay dock in Roatan open? It was scheduled to open today for Carnival Legend. I checked the web page for Mahogany Bay and see that they have taken off all ships from their November schedule.

I have checked out John Heald's Blog and see where it lists the Cruise Directors for the different ships through the end of this year. Where can I find a listing of Cruise Directors for dates in January 2010. We are sailing on the Carnival Spirit Jan. 6, 2010 and are curious as to who our Cruise Director will be. I've got some questions, even though I've sailed on Carnival so many times; here goes:

1) What is the Dream cam that I keep hearing about? I am sailing 12/19/09 on the Dream.

2) What is cruise critic and where do I go to find this; I assume it's a site?

3) I have heard mention that you can follow a post, wherein when someone replies to a post that you are "watching", it will email you. How do I set that up?

Passport: how do i fill out the passport part of the fun pass, it askes for the passport number and what not. Its just a little confusing.

Onboard account: just out of curiosity if i were to set an amount can that be used on drinks, stores? Im pretty sure thats what its for BUT we have never cruised...and do you get like a key card that is used for spending along with being your room card to get in?

We have an upcoming cruise, and I was wondering if there was a way to find out how many miles the ship travels on a specific cruise? I like to log how many miles we travel on each vacation, and as far as finding out the number of miles on a cruise- I've had a hard time finding this- I've searched the internet over and can't seem to get an answer. Any idea? Does anyone know perhaps someone on board the ship would be able to answer the question? Thanks

1st time carnival cruiser question

We will be on the Valor 3/7/10 - 1st time on a Carnival cruise - and this may seem like a silly question but here goes -- if it's between breakfast and lunch and you just want a snack (i.e. an apple, or a cheese stick), is there a place to get this? Or do you use room service and is there a charge for this?

Anyone having trouble viewing 'My Reservation'?

The page stalls when logging on but when I cancel and go back in, it says I am logged in. When I go to My Reservation, the page displays 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'

When I go to the others, My Pass, My Documents, etc., I have to furnish booking number, name, DOB.

Question on Ensenada Wine Tour with kids...

Hello, I hope I can get some carification...

I want to do the Wine Tour in Ensenada, and I don't want ot leave my son and niece on board, so we'll be doing all 3 of us...

kids pay just as a regular person, although (obviously) they won't be doing the tasting...

my Q is:

since they give u a free bottle of wine, could they give me..."theirs"...since I am the one paying for all 3, and they don't get any discount for being minors...

it would only seem fair, that the either have a lower price for kids, or...allow me to keep the bottles that would be from their "paid" tour...???

Cruise Transfer from JAX to pier

My friend and I booked our cruise last spring and at the time purchased the Transportation to and from the Pier and back again. We ended up using Free roundtrip tickets for our flights. Now we are arriving the day before the cruise and staying in a Hotel in Jacksonville on 11/27. The hotel provides Free Transportation to and from the airport. So how do I still utilize the transportation to the Pier. We purchased it in order to avoid using a cab service in a strange city. What should we do?

Cove Balcony?

I noticed there is a "new" balcony room available on Dream called "cove balcony". Can anyone give me the good, bad or indifferent on this room? We want a balcony for sure but I am not sure if this semi-enclosed balcony is going to be enjoyable or not.

Anytime Dining

If when you book your cruise and it shows Anytime Dining as being available, are you guaranteed to have it? Anytime Dining is very important to us but I was told on another forum that on the booking form it is a request only and not guaranteed. Some people have said they requested it and yet when they arrived on the ship they were given a different dining option. But if it is showing as available on the form and the cruise I am considering is a year from now, wouldn't it be guaranted? If it was not available, wouldn't it say that on the booking form and the option of a wait list be offered?
