Came home from hospital on Monday. A little weak but getting stronger every day.Unfortunatly he can never work again. So both of us will be living on disability.I will still manage to save enough for at least one cruise a year. There are some things you don't sacrifice.

Re: Pacemaker question

He is doing well, still in hospital, Monday they have to test everything. The doctors will stop his heart to make sure the defib works. They also put in a transmitter in his chest that sends a signal to a reciever connected to our phone line that sends periodic updates to hospital. Amazing what they can do these days.

Re: Pacemaker question

Joni, I have been wondering how you DH was doing. Hope all is well with both of you.

I am going to contact carnival and ask for sure what documentation is need so there won't be any surprises when we go. Once I find out for sure I will post the info.

God Bless

Mona

Re: Pacemaker question

My husband just had a defibrillator put in his chest. DO NOT WORRY about the xray unit to walk through. As long as it is a pacemaker and not a defibrillator the settings will not change. What happens is VERY VERY rare cases is that the unit resets to its original ot of box settings (which many people have anyhow). So relax, enjoy yourself and make believe you don't have a pacemaker

Re: Pacemaker question

I had my first pacemaker implanted at 28 and on my second.
