We actually prefer the end of Nov/start of Dec and cruise that time period ALL the time! Last year we went to Grand Cayman and Cozumel during the first week of December and it was definitely summer weather! Shorts, tank tops, swimming (the water was plenty warm enough!) during the day and while in port but, like others said, a light sweater or jacket for up on deck in the evenings is suggested (it's REALLY windy up there!) as well as a wrap for in the dining room and clubs (sometimes it's almost like a walk-in cooler in there!!).

I am going on the Destiny on 12/10/09, so I'll be embarking as you are debarking. I was wondering the same thing as I am from Illinois. If you go to each Port of Call and click on it, it will give you the average temp (hi/low) for each month. This will at least give you an idea of what you can usually expect.

Thank you guy's for your help, I will check those sites butit helps to have an idea how to pack. In Ohio it will probably be 30 degrees at that time.

We did a western in late January a few years ago. It was very nice weather. The coolest we had was in high 60's. The daytime highs were in low 80's. I am sure you will have no problem.

For specific information you'll need to wait until the week before your cruise and check out the tropical weather reports from a reliable weather service -- the weather channel, weather.com, etc; for general information, you can go to any number of climate data websites -- again, weather.com probably has something for this -- and seek the climate data for early December at your cruise stops.

Essentially, it will be moderate, and a light jacket or sweater will be needed on deck at night. I'd guess 70s, 80s during the day and 60s, possibly 50s at night. But that's just a guess.

I asked this on another thread, but can anyone who has cruised at this time tell me what to expectof the weather, I am taking the western carribean trip. Coming from Ohio it will be cold, will I need heavier clothes for this time of year or will it be like summer. I want to pack smart.
