That is one of my favorite things about Carnival cruises and a set dining time... the ability to get to know your waitstaff. When we were on the Inspiration in November I was checking out the dinner menu one afternoon and our waiter Adrianne saw me. I mentioned to him that one of Bill's favorites, escargot, was on the menu that night and how funny it would be if before ordering Bill received an order of escargot. Guess what? He did. Yep... can't beat the crew/staff on Carnival!

Re: Your Choice Dining.
As for choosing your dining time, if you like to have consistancy (time and table mates) choose early or late dining. If you like to wing it and just eat when you're hungry, try the your time dining.

Personally, I'm so looking forward to meeting other cruisers, so have a set dining time on our cruise...I also figure our teens will automatically know when and where to meet us each night.

Anyway, the food will be amazing whatever you choose, and that's the main thing...

So if you have late dining at 8pm and someone from anytime dining was seated at your table at 7pm and is still there eating, what happens? Do you have to switch tables for the night or wait for them to finish because of this? Or do they not seat anytime dining within time frames close to the early or late dining times?

I read on another post that the anytime dining had a certain area of the dining room reserved especially for them.

I haven't cruised since this was an option, so I don't really know, but that's what someone said.

Re: Your Choice Dining. I've read it was the last week prior to them introducing the anytime dining option which all I've read seems really popular these days. Were sailing again over Thanksgiving weekend. and hope to have the assigned dining again. We met two lovely families from outside Macon Ga on our cruise in July and find it one of the highlights of cruising to meet families we've never known to share our cruise expierences with and meet new people at the same time versus the convenience of eating by ourselves at different tables throughout the cruise. We continue to be fans of the assigned dining and look forward to meeting new friends on our next cruise.

Re: Your Choice Dining.
