    Re: SERENADE-SUNDAY 11/08/2009

    Retired and loving it:

Good morning, Smitty.  Why would you be sleepy at 6 AM?

Good morning Barb, MJ, and Jim! Diane and I were the last guests in the casino on the Holiday at 1:05 P.M. on Saturday morning Jim. They closed at 1:00, and Diane needed 10 points to get her 1000 points to get her Players Club perks ($10.00 for the cruise we just ended, a free drink of her choice, and 500 points to start with on the Destiny) for our next cruise in 18 days. They began dismantling the gaming tables as we were cashing in at the cashier's booth. It was awesome. Then we woke up at 6:00 A.M. yesterday for sitdown breakfast and debarkation. So, I'm a tad sleepy this morning.

We love you Kalyn Padget and Rosie Unsworth (our lovely adopted daughters), Amy Barton, Melanie Therrien, TJ, and Rick! The Fun Crew puts the fun in Carnival Cruising! Thank you Butch for being a fantastic CD!

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.

Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!

Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.

Say it ain't so.. lol. Poor Smitty is back in the Real World... No Smitty, it's a Mirage.. lol.. Im happy to see you back. I know exactly where ou are coming from as your cruise ends you have so many mixed emotions.. Im not looking foward to mid week of my cruise as I know it will fly by and I will be in the same boat as you. Sad to see that the Holiday will not be in the fleet, but she will be afloat. In the name of Dottie, I will sip to that... Stick out tongue

Hey Mo! It's going to be tough when Diane makes me go cold turkey on booking for a while after the MLK Week Cruise on the Splendor. Thank goodness for our upcoming Destiny Cruise with the family. That will get me through for a few months. If I could have just won a few hundred $$$ more in the casino, I could be booking the Pride this morning. Sigh!

That's great MJ! Diane is snoring away in our bed as we type. I wore her out this week. I had a hard sleeping on Thursday and Friday nights. The seas were high, and I kept rolling around in bed. I got up early and explored the Holiday both mornings.
