    Once on board

We are going on our fist cruise on the splender feb 7th 2010. We are wondering once we get on the ship what is open, Pools, spas, food and such. Also, can we go to our room once we are boarded? What about swimming? Camp carnival.  Can you get extra pillows or should we bring our own. I like to sleep with three pillows.

Are the food places open as soon as you board.

Looking for help on packing for our 7 day mexican riviara cruise.

Also, is a chuch suit ok for the formal dinning? Or is renting a tux better?

Cabins are usually ready by 1pm or so.

    What about swimming?

Pools are open when you board.

Camp carnival.  Can you get extra pillows or should we bring our own. I like to sleep with three pillows.

Not sure about Camp carnival or the extra pillows.

The Lido deck is open for food.  There's also a rotisserie one deck above this area where they have chicken and mac-n-cheese.  There's also a deli and a mongolian grill near the buffet.  All will be open when you board.  Be sure to have dinner at the Pinnacle Steak House one evening.  It's well worth the money.

Looking for help on packing for our 7 day mexican riviara cruise.

It's usually a bit cool in the lounges, so you'll want to pack a sweater.  If you're going to be in the pool or jacuzzi, pack two swimsuits.  Try not to overpack because you'll be bringing souvenirs back and will need to carry them off the ship along w/your luggage.  You can always buy extra clothes on your trip if you forget something.

Also, is a chuch suit ok for the formal dinning? Or is renting a tux better?

A suit will be just fine for the formal dining.  Be sure to take lots of pics from the professional photographers.  You're not obligated to buy them.

    Have a great cruise!

The fun begins when you get on the ship.  The pool, hot tubs, buffets, and bars are all open.  Whether or not you can get in your room depends on when you board the ship and if your room steward has it ready or not.  You can preregister for camp carnival.  I am not sure they are open until after the ship sails.   You have to do a life boat drill before you sail and the kids will need to be with you.

A church suit  is fine.  must people wear a dinner jacket and tie, does not have to be a tux,   I have seen people with a nice shirt and tie and no jacket.

You can ask for an extra pillow.

    Have a really good time.

I always take my own pillow from home but you can always ask your steward for another pillow. You can also ask for an additional mattress if you find yours is too hard for your liking. Your steward will bend over backwards to see that you are happy. Make sure you tip him/her well when they go out of their way to accommodate you.
