Hi all you newbies

We aren't newbies anymore as we completed our first cruise Nov 5 off of the Fascination.

We had a FANTASTIC time! We learned a lot about what would happen on this web site and they were right on as to what to bring, events, etc etc.

It was nonstop fun and we'll be back next Halloween out of Mobile.

itseems like you have been to the bahamas quite a bit,,??< an absolute waste of your hard earned dollars if you ask me!! to each is own i guess,, im glad to see your going to some REAL ports since then and nowadays.. the bahamas is fine to visit once but what could u possibly do there to go so frequently??? i live in florida and its basically the same ridiculous tourist trap prices here along with the weather being absolutley the same.. i refuse to board a ship if it stops anywhere near the bahamas.. waste of a day rather be at sea, waste of a port would rather be anywhere else, waste of money id rather give it away.

Steve sorry you feel that way. The wife and I work 60 hours a week, for the price and a plus that we live in drive distance to 3 ports. It just makes it easy for us to plan. We did a Alaska south bound cruise this year. Great that it was, it was hard to plan with the airline travel up to the transfer. But by far the trip was a life time trip for us. So we are going back to the Bahamas for our son in May and with some childhood friends in Sept. So i would have to say that at a 60 hour work week ill sail to Iraq if need be. As long as it is on Carnival.

thats understandable =) i get it theres nothing like cruising so who cares where you go.. you dont even have to get off just being there is enough,, i like those days when the ship is half empty anyways,,  have fun with ur family on ur next cruise wherever you go =)

I agree the Bahamas were a disapointment.  If I ever have that port again on another cruise I will stay on the ship.

I'm with you!  Glad you enjoyed your cruise and are looking forward to the next one.  I've never cruised to the Bahamas but I do go there often on land vacations which I always enjoy.

As you said, to each his own. If it is a new port than it is interesting to visit. Explore and see how other people live. Every island has its own personality, same with the Bahamas. I plan on see it for myself on Dec. 6 trip out of Port Canaveral. Nice to know that your negative attituate won't be joining me. To all those that will be on Sensation on Dec. 6 lets go, have a great time and see what we can find out for ourselves. Happy sailing

I'm glad you guys had such fun.  My brothers and my sister and I went on a "sibling cruise" on the fascination to the Bahamas and Key West in September.  It was a lot of fun.

Welcome home and glad you had a wonderful time on your cruise to the Bahamas.    Our 1st cruise was on the Fascination too but we went to Cozumel.  I love that ship.  Our 2nd cruise was also on that ship and when we arrived at the port we found out that that we were re-routed to the Bahamas.  I had all the plans done and ready for Cozumel but got really excited that we were going to the Bahamas.  I loved Nassau.  It's a great Port of Call with lots to do.  You can't do everything you wnt to as the ship is only docked there for a short time.  On our 2 cruises Trevor was the Cruise Director.  He was fantastic and we had a lot in common as he was from Canada.  He was terrific.  I wonder where Trevor went as it seems there is a new Cruise Director now.   But from what I have read the new one is also fantastic.   

I would love to go back to Nassau again just as much as I want to cruise to Cozumel again.  Those 2 Ports are awesome as there is so much to do in each one many people go back to them a lot.

I wish we lived close to a Port as a Carnival Cruise is the best vacation money can buy.    But we have to take into consideraton the airfare, hotel, and all the other expenses that go along with those 2 things, plus the cost of the cruise.

Just returned off our first cruise and LOVED IT!!!!!  I had the best time of my life and we are already wanting to go back.  I wanted to hide in the bathroom and leave on the next one out!  haha  I did learn a lot about our room.  Had a balcony room and loved it;  however, the lido deck was right above us and heard the constant music but it wasnt that bad to complain about it.  I cant even describe the feeling I had looking at the ship driving up to the port.  I cant even put into words the total experience I had on Legend.  Anyone going on their first cruise or just returned can understand my thoughts.  I also didnt get sea sick but we were in front of hurricane/tropical storm Ida coming back so the seas were a little rocky....52 mph wind gust at times (according to the TV and tracking our path).  What an awesome experience!!!!!  As soon as this one is paid off, we will be selling out again.  May get a part time job just to leave sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can surely understand the cruise fever!!   I just got off the Pride a few weeks ago and am chomping at the bit to book again (must find a job first...darn unemployment!!   LOL)...   The Fascination was my first too and I just loved it!!  I have a new love which is the Pride..  She is just beautiful...  I really liked Nassau too and so did my daughter!   She did get seasick quite a bit but told me she would go back to Nassau in a heart beat on another cruise,,  LOL LOL...  I think I will book this next one without her tho'...    My avatar pic is the Pride that we took right when we got off I95 to the port.    I can hardly wait to get back on her!
