We are not tracking the course of the ship. we and our fellow neighbors of the gulf region, la, miss and al. have just been issued a hurricane warning. All our attention is now directed to that terrible monster s. of us called Ida. Hurricane conditions can be expected in our area within 36 hr. Ports effected will be NO and Mobile. This is a historical event. A November hurricane. Katrina taught us a great lesson of fear and respect for the weather.
Historical note. When Katrina struck the gulf coast region in 2005 Carnival aided the recovery effort by providing/leasing three ships to provide shelter for those who lost their homes.Notably the Holiday was anchored about 6 mo. at the shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss. You history buffs. You can find it and pictures in the Carnival archives.
