    Wash

Do all carnival ships have a SS laundry room? Going to be flying and want to reduce packing.

Yes they do. Most have one on most cabin decks.

    Re: Wash

Maybe we suggest that you take along a pack of those wash, softner and dryer pads that are all in one. They work great and take up very, very little room in your luggage. Also we take a little bottle of the wrinkle release spray which has working great so far. Saves you from a lot of ironing.

Thank you for that information. I was also wondering about that. Also, one more thing, how expensive are the machines to use.

Hi Kathy, I think on the Conquest that it was $3.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry. Do make sure you take quarters with you, if not, you can get change at the casino.  They also have an iron and ironing board in the laundry room.  The washers and dryers worked great and took large loads.

    Re: Wash

Hello.  We just returned from a cruise on Spirit and the cost was $3 to wash and $3 to dry.  On both of the cruises we have taken the laundry rooms were always busy.  I chose the wrong day to do laundry on Glory (a sea day).  On Spirit I chose a port day thinking it would be better, nope, still busy.  You'll get it in, you might just have to wait.  Have a great cruise!!!

    Re: Wash

Hopefully I will not be doing laundry while on my cruise but I try to plan ahead. I will be visiting relatives for 3 days before the cruise and then the cruise, so you just never know what will happen. Also, I do not want to overpack but I also do not want to wash clothes. Oh well. Such a situation to be in 28 days before the cruise. Thank you for the info though. Happy Sailing to all

    Re: Wash

I did laundry on my last 7-day cruise on the Legend...never saw another person in the laundry room.  I put two loads in to wash, went and had breakfast in the dining room, came back and put the two loads in the dryers, went back to my room and took a shower and got ready for our shore excursion, then went and got the loads out of the dryer!

I plan on doing the same on our 8-day cruise in two weeks!  It makes packing MUCH easier....

On every sailing I've had, about midway through the cruise they have a laundry special of $15 for all you can fit in the bag they leave in your cabin, which is about one washer load. I'd sooner pay the extra for the service. The difference of $9 versus doing it myself (ignoring the cost of washing powder, etc.), particularly the time I would have to spend when I could be enjoying doing nothing at all, makes it all worth it.Plus, I save bringing an extra piece of luggage ($25-50).
