    Carnival Dream

the dream is by far the worst ship in carnivals fleet. it rights rough and when in any kind of wind it really moves around. do not book one of their new cove balconys they are right under the gally. also stay away from the back of the ship thats where you will fine out how bad this ship moves around.

carnivals guest services dept is anything but. so hope you don't have any problems, you will never get any help from them. and cabin 8473 is a real joke. no dresser no chair no couch small 9a cat cabin if you pay over $1500 for that cabin you will really be ripped off. try booking you next cruise on RCCL

    no dresser

What cabin were you in on RCCL that had a dresser?

I've sailed both and they are pretty similar but Carnival is a much better value for your money.  As far as the ship moving, they all move, just depends on the weather and seas.

Which other Carnival ships have you been on that you know it is the worst in the fleet?  It rights rough?  I guess you worked for the navy or coast guard so you know how every ship should operate?  Please...we welcome opinions but not ignorant ones.  We want to hear about things that matter like the food, the drinks, the staff, I don't really care I don't have a dresser.  Maybe you should book a suite next time if your expectations are so high!

    Re: Carnival Dream

Ditto to what Tracyanns said.  I continue to sail with Carnival for many reasons:  its great value, great fun great service, great food, great shows.....  I always remember two things.....we are on a ship in the water for which the captain has no control over the weather, etc., and we are being serviced by human beings, just like ourselves; I do not expect perfection....  Oh, by the way I sailed once on RCCL and was not impressed at all.  Happy cruising!

    Re: Carnival Dream

Per reviewers and passengers so far they have rated The Dream the best in the fleet.  The Dream experienced severe weather in the Mediterranean but handled it well per passengers reports.  She made it fine across the Atlantic which is a feat for any 'cruise ship'.... She is NOT an ocean liner as the Queen Mary II is.  BTW Royal C's new mammoth the Oasis was making her first Atlantic crossing the same time as the Dream.  She could barely make 6 knots, experienced damage and was so behind schedule her inauguration was postponed.   I don't think its a surprise where the Galley is on the ship since its indicated on the deck plans.  Any cabin choice should be made responsibly and can never be a surprise.  Any experienced cruiser knows that the further from mid center of a ship you go, the greater the potential for motion. Hence all the cat 11-12 suites are mid-center.  The aft cabins are amazing and worth the extended balconies.  I have seen pictures of that cabin and it has the same wall armoires and drawer space as the rest of the cabins. No cabins have dressers.  Its obvious you do not know what you are talking about regarding the Dream and RCCL.  The Dream is amazing but go ahead and promote the 'Mall of the Seas' top heavy behemoth that was late to her own inauguration!
