Lost camera: Found in Cozumel 10/30/09

I am trying to find the owner of a camera someone left at Tres Amigos in Cozumel on 10/30/09.  I believe the owner was on the Carnival Conquest.  We were on the Valor and my husband tried to return the camera to the Conquest but didn't get much help from the staff on that ship...they basically ignored him so I am trying to find the owner this way.

     T & C,

    My first post was lost...

I applaud you both for even attempting to return it. Keep posting and maybe the rightful owner will be able to identify it...make em' prove it.

Thanks for your honesty and for trying to do the right thing. It'll count.

Thanks for trying to find the owner of the camera, I am sure they would really apreciate all what you are doing..kudos for you. My suggestion is to post in the conquest part of this site also in cruise criti dot com. I was in the conquest that same cruise so we were parked next to you. there was a big group of people from cruise critic.

I love to hear that there are still honest people in the world-good for you.  Another thing you can do is contact the camera maker and based on the serial number if that person registered they can track down the owner.

Lets all take this as a lesson I read about years ago-print your name address and phone number on a piece of paper and then take a picture of it(I am assuming most people are digital)  if your camera should get lost hopefully the person will review the pictures and see your info.

Tamara, there is a post on the Conquest site about a lost or stolen camera. I didn't read it, but you might try in there and see if it's their camera.

GREAT JOB of trying to help the person out. Not everyone would be as nice as you are.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions, no luck finding the owner yet.  I will post this on the other sites suggested.

This is a shot in the dark, but we lost our camera in Cozumel right around that time. The camera was in a brown/tan camera bag with multiple memory cards and a Ford car key.

I have also heard about using those address labels that you get in the mail. They don't take up much room on the camera and will help ID esp. if they are the disposible type that I usally buy for my grand-girl's to use. Guess you can use them on better camera's also.

Avery brand labels makes a really nice heavy duty ID label (silver) that I have had the same labels on my cameras for the past three or four years and they are still is stuck tight and information is readable.  I would hope that if I were to ever lose it, the finder would contact me.  I also used a black Sharpie to write my info on the inside of my camera bags... just in case.

I wish I could say its yours but the description doesn't match.  Sorry, I hope someone returns it to you.

Hi, Really nice of you to try and find the owner of the camera!  Myself and my husband were on the Carnival Miracle that left Cozumel on 11/2/09.  We went to Three Amigos that night before sailing.  I believe he left his wallet there?  I am trying to find the phone number for that bar and cant see to locate it.  Would you know the number??

    Thanks so much, Julie
