    Getting liquor home

I know when you buy liquor in the duty free shop on the ship, and they delivery it to you the night before you dock.  With the new restrictions on what you can carry on a plane, are we allowed to carry it on the plane like we used to?  I was planning on taking another smaller luggage with wheels  to put it in, to make it easier to carry (pull).  If we have to check it, the price will not be worth buying it at the duty free store.

you have to put it into checked luggage.  And that makes it so much harder for travelers.

Our last cruise we shoved some of our clothes out of our checked luggage into our carry on, and put the liquor in our checked bags.  Even though the bottles are in a box I usually take a bit of bubblewrap with me to wrap the bottles just to make sure they make it home safely.  Have never had a problem with breakage.   Last cruise we brought home eight bottles of Myers rum (4 per suitcase) and no problem.

Yes, you will have to check it.   Last time my roomy and I traveled we put it in side a trash bag and then pack cloths around them.     Made it home w/o a problem.

Thanks everyone, but I guess we will have to pass.  My luggage is always at the limit for weight even before trying to put liquor in it, and wont pay another 25.00 for additional luggage. It used to be nice to just carry it on, but times have changed and we understand that.
