Port of Miami- Miami International or Ft. Lauderdale?

Can you fly into Ft. Lauderdale or MIA for a cruise?

is it true?  Does Carnival's shuttle run to Ft. Lauderdale?  Is the price the same?

Anyone know how much a taxi ride is from Ft Lauderdale or MIA cost to the port?

    How about private shuttles?

    Thanks!

Yes you can fly into any airport you wish - you'll just have higher transportation costs to the port if you go into FL for a Miami cruise.

We use Southwest that only flies into FL so we have to take a cab over to Miami - it ranges anywhere from $65-85 depending on the cab driver - ask the price up front!

We use cabs because we don't like waiting around for the shuttles to fill up. (the only leave once full)

No idea on the private shuttle pricing, it's only been the 2 of us so a cab has been fine.

    Happy Cruising! :) Trish

We recently flew into FL for a cruise out of Miami.  Used SAS transportation, they were very reliable and friendly will definitely use next time.  They were $15 per person each way.  You can contact them at ridesas.com.  You can make reservations online but don't have to pay until they drop you off at the cruiseport or airport.
