transportation from ship to airport in Orlando

We will be sailing on the Sensation on Dec. 6 and were wondering if it is better to take the ground transportation that Carnival has or should we hire a taxi. Which is less expensive fo the two of us.

     Kathy,

I have done this twice. Both times I used Carnival's transfers. It was worth the peace of mind. A cab will cost a small fortune. It's about a 45-60 minute ride. I think R/T transfers are 70 pp. Better than a cabbies sum.

On our last trip, our friends took a limo (4 of them) and it was cheaper than Carnival but I ended used Carnival.  It was worth the $70.00 round trip.  Easy to get from the airport to the ship.  Just be aware that the ground transportation doesn't start the first shuttle  until 12:00.  The Carnival people were easy to spot and were great to work with.   When you get in, they take you to a waiting spot and you wait until the bus is full then leave with others from all different flights.  It does have great peace of mind knowing the ship will not leave until you get there.  Have a great trip.

Thank you for your reply. Thankfully we only need transportation from the ship to the airport. We are coming in 3 days early to visit cousins that I have not seen in about 40 years. They will take us to the ship. Getting from the ship to the airport is all I need to work out at this point. Thank you again. Happy Sailing
