Just returned from my second cruise on the Fascination, and we had a Ball! The first trip was to Nassau and Half Moon Cay, and this time we visited Key West and Nassau. In Key west we took the trolley tour which was really fun although it sure was HOT! Our guide, Steve, told us that we could see all sorts of strange things, as it was Fantasy Fest there. He was right, there sure are some Strange folks out there! There were a lot of "normal' things to see and we had a good time. The shopping was great! In Nassau we just walked around, shopping as when we were there in Jan. we hooked up with a tour guide, Perry McPhee, that spent the whole day with us and showed us everything we wanted to see. There were 8 of us then and the price was very reasonable. We went to the gardens, Atlantis, and he even gave us a demonstration on cleaning and cooking conch fritters! Tastey!! This time there was only 4 of us, so we just "Bummed" around. The Fascination was a lot of Fun! The staff really goes out of their way to make everything "MO BETTER". Our cabin steward, Sudi, [I suspect he lives under the bed, as every time we left the room it was cleaned and a new "Animal" appeared] was really Super! Our wait staff, Arwin, Charlestone, and Johnny, besides being very good at their jobs, allways spoke to us and called us by name, where ever we were on the ship! Our Matre'De, Mr. K, helped us by allowing us to change dinner times when we had a conflict because of my being in the talent show and having the Halloween costume parade at the late dining time. The other cruise, the Matre'De, didn't do, didn't care, and also didn't get tipped! Our cruise director, Filipe, is a pure NUT! He made everything Fun! We tried to do everything on the ship and I think we came close, don't just sit there, Go and Do! Filipe's assistant, Shellie, was such a help with the talent show and a joy to be around. From Sonja the barista in Bogarts coffee bar, to the Captain, all of the crew were very pleasant to be around, and acted like they appreciated us being there. The only down side to the whole trip was that the air conditioner in our cabin didn't work as well as it should have, and we had some engine noise, as we were on Riviera deck, aft. That probably had something to do with the air also, but the noise wasn't bad, and as the trip went on, it was kinda' soothing! Also on the last couple of days, some of the passengers got ruder,[more rude, more agravating, pain-in-da-butt] know what I mean? We had a Great Time, and I only gained 10 lbs! Can't wait to do it again, next year!
