When we leave on cruise the hotel shuttle will drop us off, but on the return we haved to get way back to airport. Anyone know which way the price is better from port to airport in ft lauderdale?
It usually depends how many people are in your group. We hired a town car in Long Beach to and from the cruise port for less (including tip) than the Carnival transfer (3 people). Carnival charges per person and taxis don't. You can find approximate FL taxi fares if you do a search online, and then compare that to the Carnival price.
the price the the taxi is about $20... not sure of the exact price since I dropped my daughter off at the airport and went on to a second location.
But it is per cab not per person... and you can have 4 people in the cab with no problem
Not sure about the price difference in Ft. L. but I do know that when leaving the port to return to the airport a taxi is the way to go. When leaving the port all you want to do is get where you are going and the shuttle buses have to completely fill up before they leave. In Miami the taxi was cheaper than the shuttle and while the rest of the family booked the shuttle, we took the taxi and they arrived at the airport 45 min. after us. Alot of sitting and waiting.
From port to airport in Flf is right at $20 including tip.
Like others have said, You have to wait for carnivals bus to fill b4 it leaves the port.
Cab is the way to go.
