Cruising in December from NOLA - have always cruised in summer or late spring, versus winter. Some friends who have cruised in December have said the decks will be very chilly - just wondering what to pack?? Has anyone cruised in December before from NOLA or Mobile - if so, what are the temps like once you get out to sea, and what type of clothes are recommended?
Thanks!
I have not cruised in December...but have in November. I always bring a hoodie or a light jacket. Don't need anything overly heavy.
When are you going? We are going December 19.
Enjoy!
We cruised last year in Dec. and the day we left New Orleans it was 70. The day we returned they had a record high in the 80's. Two days before the cruise New Orleans got its first snowfall in 30 years. Once you get out of the Mississippi River it is usually pretty warm but I would bring a light jacket for the upper deck at night. We usually look at weather.com days leading up to the cruise so we know what to pack. We have been pretty lucky and I hope it holds as we are going on the Dec. 7 cruise. Take care , Vicki
