Excursions- Ochio Rios & Grand Cayman

anybody have any input....is it worth it??...or is it better to venture out on your own...

We're just looking for site seeing, dunns falls, shopping  then Turtle Farm,Hell town and shopping.....in Ochio Rios we like the " Dunns River/Paradise Cove excursion" in Cayman " the Best of Cayman Islands Tour" ...what's your suggestions?

    Thanks!

We went to Cayman in June / beginning of July this year. We took a taxi on our own to 7 mile beach with no problems. I knew several people who had been there before and told me it was not worth the money to pay for the excursion. They were right. All we wanted to do was go to the beach with our children and do some shopping, which we did very easily on our own. The taxi was $4/person each way (this is negotiable) and the beach was free. You can rent chairs and do water sports for an extra charge but we simply used our towels to lay out on. I think the beach excursion was $29/person through Carnival so we saved ourselves $21 / person by doing this on our own. Wish I could help with Ocho Rios but have not been there. It is on my list of future islands for future cruises. Happy cruising!

I guess if you're just doing a beach thing...on your own seems better...but we wanna do some SITES as I stated above....Turtle Farm,Hell Town etc in Cayman...

    Thanks

In Grand Cayman we love to swim with the stingrays and go to Rum Point Beach.

Dunns river fall is a good place to start and if you are young and with out kids the party boat is great. Shopping is walking distance from the pier so don't pay someone to take you. Grand Cayman not a lot to see on the island tours unless you have kids. swimming with the stingrays is fun and safe. Hell and the rum cake factory is a waste of money. and shopping is a cross the street for where you are let off the boats. I hope You Have Fun with what ever You do.

Yes, I too wanted a post card and I sent it to my ex wishing she was here. The turtle farm is OK but it is the round about way they take you to get there.I guess if you do any diving  you get to see a lot of them so thee farm is more for the ones they eat.

    Poohbenz10, hey :)

DunnsRiver is a blast! Paradise Cove is beautiful also. climbing the falls isn't for everyone but I loved doing it. Wear some sturdy water shoes or Teva sandals when you climb.

I'm booking the dolphin swim in Grand Cayman. You get free admission to the turtle farm when you book through Dolphin Discovery. http://www.dolphindiscovery.com/grand-cayman/cayman-location-overview.asp
