    Cabin location

Anyone with a favorite cabin location? Front/back of ship--higher/lower deck? How about a balcony on the 7th or 8th floor? Do you feel 'motion' on any floor? Any 'bad' locations with balconies?? How is the wind on the sides of the ship-- on a balcony?

    Re: Cabin location

Our favorite location (either with or without a balcony) is an aft-facing cabin.  As for what level, we always try to find one that's got decks of cabins above and below us to cut down on the noise factor.  Also, aft tends to have less hallway noise and it's close to the lido buffet (and we usually also get assigned to the aft dining room with makes that close, too!).  Motion - you need to remember you're on a ship in the ocean, regardless of what others say you're going to feel motion EVERYWHERE on the ship.  But that's one of the cool things about cruising.  I LOVE the feel of being rocked to sleep!  Can't help you with the wind issue on side balconies but do know that the windiest place is the forward facing areas - both balcony cabins as well as open decks!  Hold On There!!

you should check out the website seauonboard.com   She has fantastic information about specific cabins, any question you may want anwered etc...

As for my favorite, balcony on any ship, any itinerary any time of the year.  I have cruised both high and low on the ship.  I have cruised mid ship and back of the ship.  Never towards the front...

Avoid a room where there is activity just over it. Like just under the pool deck : in the morning, people sit at the tables to eat breakfast and they drag the metal chairs on the floor, it is very noisy, especially very soon in the morning. Also at night, if you need to rest, if there is a party just over your head, you will ear some "boom-boom" and the steps of the dancers. The best way to deal with that is to join them and party !!

    Have a great time !

    Cool [H] Re: Cabin location

we like the middle of the ship, on the 8th deck.  Not much movement, slight rocking sensation when you lie down some times. Easy to access any part of the ship.  Even thought we get near the elevators it has been quite.

The front of the ship, about 10 rooms back. We saw the dolphins in the wake, flying fish, sharks and a turtle. There was a floor above and below us of rooms.

(We use to get the middle but decided to try something new and are sold on the front).

Our choice is aft cabins - around the back elevators. We like being able to run up a few flights of stairs and having everything right there - the pools, food & beverage machines.

    Re: Cabin location

Glad to hear that several like cabins in the Aft area.  Our room will be in the aft, so I was curious, haven't heard much feedback on it yet.

I am so easy that I like ANY cabin I can get just so's I can be cruising!!   LOL....   I have had front with 2 potholes, middle with picture window and then top (right under Lido deck) balcony and truthfully they were all fine.   It really just depends on what makes you comfortable.

    Re: Cabin location

We like a cabin on the 7th deck or higher. We try to stay in the mid ship area because it is halfway to all the stuff we do on the ship. One year we may try one of the aft cabins with the larger balconybecause of all the good reports I hear

    Re: Cabin location

We've had cabins everywhere and I have to say our favorite is 6th floor (rooms above and below you) on the very back of the ship. You can sit on your balcony and see everything when coming into and leaving the ports. Plus the balconies are a little larger. But I have to say.......any cabin as long as I am cruising is a good cabin!!!!

I have E7445, an aft wrap balcony, on the Valor for our Oct 2010 cruise. How are these rooms compared to a regular balcony, interior wise?

Can you tell me what Ocean View Stateroom on Carnival Legend is good on the Riveria Deck? Currently have 1267 its more towards the front of ship, will that be a problem. Can you recommend a good location.
